This thread is funny. With the exception of Ronin most of your guys would just get yourselves killed even if you did have the balls to pick up a weapon and use it LOL.

Probably the best case scenario if you wanted to fight would be to find someone with military experience. (And I'm not talking airorce or navy).
Have them give you a crash course on basic marksmanship. You just can't pick up a weapon Rambo style and expect to start hitting anything. Trust me the Iraqis do that and can't hit squat.

I think me personally I would find out a number to filter in valuable information to where ever I could. Do constant SALUTE reports to whoever would listen and encourage the unexperienced to stay out of the way. I have 6 years of intelligence training, so I would do what I could to exploit the enemy. Mostly because that's what I know and would only end up with missing fingers messing with explosives.

I think guys with military experience would find each other and group up. Either that or join with whatever national gaurd/reserve/active duty components they could find.

I would never be standing out front like that - too easy to pick off, and would want all you guys covered with natural or man-made cover....I'd be up high on a hill, taking shots from 1200-1500 meters out, protecting the guys up front, and the insertion team....

And please drop in a Barrett Light .50 with me in the hillside position....

I think I would rather be in an urban environment. YEah I'm gonna be easier to hit, but I think with the training I had I could encourage more guys to participate in "kill zones." Plus it's something I'm more familiar with, I'm in no way a mountain guy. I'd just stick to what I know and learn as much as I can from the invading force.

Just for the record, I spent MONTHS in Panama and Honduras, as well as Syria, Lebanon, and a few other places. Not you average Air Force guy, and now they actually have a dedicated and funded unit doing what a few of us used to do under the table and on a budget.
