Idle hands dont work well for us.. lol.

I could do without yard work however. :P
Sometimes I find mowing the grass to be relaxing though so it's a catch 22. At least now that I got a riding mower and don't have to push the "self propelled" mower around (it lies, it stops being self propelled after about 2 minutes when the belt heats up). My current problem is that I have a ton of brush, branches, etc that I need to burn. Gotta find a burn barrel.

It can be, but at the same time when you gotta do it and you just don't feel like it it SUCKS a mean one. I do love the smell of fresh cut grass though.

When I'm buying a house, hopefully around a year from now, it will definitely not be a townhouse. I know the maintenance that needs to be done and don't mind it. If it makes me have no life then so be it. I already don't have one haha. I don't mind cutting grass and doing landscape when I can do it at my own pace as well. I will just need room for the cars and trailer. My friends who race say don't waste your money on a house and just race for the time being. At this point in life a house could be an investment when interest rates and values go back up eventually.

The fact that the place is MINE is what motivates me to do all the necessary yardwork, etc. My roommate and I recently replaced the roof over our porch, and will be laying concrete in the garage as well as painting it (and possibly running a 220 line). I dont mind putting in the work because its my own house, and I dont mind putting in money, because I know Ill earn it back on the resale, and then some. Being a homeowner is great! The more land, the better!

I like mowing the lawn. it's a good way to get a tan in the summer. i used to at my house when my dad wasn't around. It was pretty relaxing - iPod, bathing suit, riding mower. lol.

i wouldn't be able to live in a townhouse/single house with an association. too, too, too many rules/arguments about landscaping and decorating and "this person's street light isn't the right color." i can't deal with that.

I still insist that lucky (papillon) is the best dog and breed, despite being a girly dog. He's really fast, plays fetch, etc. He eats about $40 of food a year and can chew on toys all day but won't ever make a dent in them. Though I just figured out recently that a border collie has almost exactly the same mannerisms and is more of a normal dog size so it might be even better. Zeus is cool and all but he smells, is a serious attention whore, and he's still a psycho puppy but is enormous so he causes all kinds of devastation in the house. Zeus recently figured out though that he's finally faster than lucky though so their runs around the pool have gotten a lot more entertaining. His bite is also getting strong now and he can devour an $8 nylabone in a week or so. He also eats a ton of food despite keeping him super lean to try to prevent hip problems. He did eat his food bowl though so maybe that has something to do with it.

probably in the spring.

i'm nervous as **** now that we're just waiting on the mortgage approval. i don't have the cleanest history (though it's been fine the past two years) and i've had some minor tax issues last year or two... like not doing them, apparently... b/c money was never given or taken from my bank account when i've done them online.

so yeah... i hate sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting. we could know as early as friday. and if that's the case closing could be before the end of the month
