Or take it to the vet and get a shot of steroids. Has it been checked for FeLV? I dunno, if it were my cat I'd take it to the vet for a scraping to see if it's an allergy or mites of some sort.

He also gets their jerkey treats. I highly recommend it. Their top few ingrediants is always a meat!

You can get the food at your local pet stores.

The wet food only thing is a myth. If you look at the lable of most wet foods, it is like 75percent water.

My dog is allergic to a lot of stuff, grass included , so I know how frustrating it can be to manage. He was itching his ears so bad that they were raw, bleeding and had puss. I just took his e-collar off of him yesterday after a week of it on and am now weening him off the steriods the vet prescribed him.
So I changed their diet from Purina cat food (I was under the impression that this was decent... brand recognition... crafty marketers), to Wellness dry food and every other day they each get half a can of wet food. You would not beleive what a difference its made in such a short amount of time. Buster stopped scratching himself almost immediately, and his once rough coat is shinier and smoother than it EVER has been. Im astounded. I may switch them to Blue dry food because the wellness was like $36 a bag, but at least we've identified the problem. Thanks guys!

Morning all. Haven't been in here much but oh well. Hope everyone is doing well. I'm just working and what not basically. Last points race for me this upcoming weekend to qualify for the bracket finals and that's about it. Taking my girlfriend to a drive in movie theatre as well.

That's great! I'm glad it worked for you. It's amazing what a simple change in diet will do for an animal.

yea I picked up wellness for my new dog as well, I have transition her off IAMS and on to Wellness, I compares different dog foods ingredients and wellness was one that actually had things i know what are, and isn't filled with filler ingredients.

ken, you don't need a drive in to break in the mustang, just a dark night and a frisky gal.

I'm going tomorrow and that's the distance for me. I'm taking my dad's pickup truck and going to chill in the back there to watch. It's real neat, and only $8/person for 2 movies.

Yeah, luckily it's a cat so that's not too big a deal. My golden retriever dog on the other hand is going to cost me a small fortune per month to feed due to his allergies. Suzy did your goldens ever get stinky ears/neck? I've had to start rinsing my dog's ears with peroxide. I think it's a yeast infection and apparently the breed is known for it.
