So, I just had to make an undergarments run for work, and in the process of loading my bags that were literally full of dozens upon dozens of beaters, boxers, and vnecks (a shopping cart piled full) I realize this teenage girl is taking pictures of me with her camera phone and saying "finally, something I can post on People of Walmart."

I wanted to look her straight in the face and tell her what I was really going to use them for, but instead told her that I was a triplet and it was just easier to buy in bulk for back to school. el oh el.

It was a toss-up. Overserious, creepy, dead person comment in my local Walmart where the people from my neighborhood that know me and my profession, shop to a teenage gal, or eat it. I done ate it.

Pretty pissed off with the managers at work. I had today and tomorrow off. I make plans for tonight to hang out with friends, which I haven't done in a while. I get a text from my manager saying I have to come to work tonight, he wasn't supposed to schedule me off but he did so now I am **** out of luck...and he added the store manager is requesting me to come in aka I either come in or find another job. ****ing bull****.

X- I work for a funeral home, and the undergarments are for the clientelle, so that's why I had so many. The situation is funny because I wanted to tell her just why I had a ton of underwear in my cart, but resisted because of the possible repurcussions.

Not your problem. It is your bosses. Have fun with your friends. They can't do anything and I would even consider reporting it because it is illegal to threaten and it isn't even reaonable to EXPECT someone to come in on such short notice.

I have no respect for bosses that are like that.

The thing is, there are 4 managers in the store. 2 of them make the schedule. My manager (speedshop manager), who doesn't make the schedule, modifies the schedule for me so that it meets his needs. However, 99 percent of the time he doesn't really talk it over with other managers and just changes the schedule, which leaves one person closing in parts and no cashier (like tonight, hence me having to work).

I would say something, but **** it, I am only working weekends after this weekend, and I am off tomorrow.

Seems like most of the people on the cat forum are saying its diet related, or due to his plastic foodbowl. Im going to switch him to a ceramic bowl, as well as switch to a low carb dry food with a higher meat protein content, as well as start feeding them canned food daily. Apparently the recommended diet for cats is 100percent canned food. I cant afford that, but I can supplement them with a can or so a day.

The cats do need to go to the vet for their checkup, but ive still got to get myself to the doctor, dentist, and eye doctor before I can get the cats to the vet. So for now Im going to make some diet adjustments, and see if he doesnt improve.

Um, actually you can't see mites. They're microscopic...

Again, not your problem they cant' do their job properly. Go in if you want the extra money. Don't go in just because you feel you have to.

Interesting. Learned two new things in two seconds. Ill definitely schedule a checkup for them knowing this.

New order of priorities... eye dr, vet, doctor, dentist.

Vet would come first but im on my last pair of contacts and dont own glasses.

Example: I worked retail in high school and college. Store manager called are disctrict manager and said he couldn't make it in because of the weather(it snowed really bad). DM told him if he didn't make it into work and have the store opened he would be fired. Guy wrecked his car on his way in(purely by accident because I know the guy and he told me). He got a lawyer because he wanted the company to pay his decuctable and found he was able to sue them for alot more then that. He got a nice chunk of $$$.

When my boss needed help because someone called out or they just needed more people, 99% of the time I would go in to help for the extra money, but I wan't afraid to say no if I had plans.
