Speaking of which, they're coming to tow the car now.

Quick recap.

Car shut off on me while in cruise control on the highway the other night. got it restarted while cruising around 50mph, nbd. Following morning, put gas in it, got a nice sized pile on the ground and it wasnt coming out of the top of the nozzle...it was all the way in. Drove it to the airport this morning to see what it does, in my sub 40 mile trip, it used close to 70 miles worth of gas per the info screen. Left with 141 miles till empty, got back with 70 miles to empty and i dont think I shifted past 4k rpm....

Oh and the headlight is BACK out.

I told them straight up that im done. i refuse to have it continually repaired.

My bank is .8 miles away, the car was already warm. Drove straight there and back, somehow used 9 miles of fuel. It's literally a short straight, a red light and a right at the next redlight at the even shorter straight. 71 miles to empty to 62 miles to empty. What in the ****.

Dude, if you're leaking that much gas, I wouldn't be driving that thing anywhere.

Just got done replacing the tie rod ends on the Honda, I am going to go ape **** if the mechanic finds something else wrong with the car during the inspection. Getting the BMW inspected in an hour, hopefully they don't find anything because I don't feel like fixing anything.

Nothing wrong except your muffler bearings are shot and your blinker fluid needs topped off.

You couldn't feel the bad tie rods before you took it down for inspection?

Honestly no. The drivers side was loose but not to bad, the passenger side I could almost pop the ball out of the socket. I don't feel any difference with the new ones in place.

My GTO was the opposite. It was night and day once it was reaplaced... but the GTO bushing suck from the factory and are sloppy.

I did however realign the rack with the steering column. When I replaced the rack 4 years ago, I didn't align it because I told the alignment shop to do it. They didn't and I've just been lazy. Surprisingly, with the string alignment method, the car pulls slightly to the left, and both sides have even amount of threads into the rod ends.
