haha that monopod will just get in the way with that lens. i have one and used it maybe once for shooting sports since with that lens its easier to hold to give u the flexibilty to move around and follow the action

pics look nice and sharp those, looks like you'll be enjoying that lens.

haha i have absolutely no problem handholding this lens. The only reason im considering the monopod is because the game is at night.

I fail for not having a DSLR only a decent digital camera and a 35 mil SLR and no way of putting the pictures online for now..but here are a few i took with my digital..
