Its still under the 4G. And your comment about the B series trans running 9's so does the stock Evo 5 speed with a Exedy twin just like you said. And on another note the STi 6 speed is just as stout. If I had to pick a Jap trans to take the cake it would be the Evo 5 speed, not because I own one but damn they take a beating in stock form.

I figured this response...I was just stating that your claim of the B series trans being the top. I was simply stating that there are way more 500+ HP cars running the Evo 5 speed with no problems then B series. That tells me this thing is a beast and nothing else. I don't think so!

Its only the AWD trans' that have REAL problems. Mostly dude to they have to deal with transfer cases and rear diffs. FWD trans' are fine if you limit wheel hopping or get a LSD.

Subaru's drivetrain has its problems too. It's hard to make a strong AWD drivetrain.

More power = More failures, really I have yet to witness an Evo blow anything at the track but I can't say the same and I went to Atco at least every month during the summer for almost 8 years straight.

i was at RT tuning and they had a Eclipse there. It was the non turbo model and the kid turboed it.... It was a complete turd. 15 PSI and it only got to 240 HP. Thats pathetic!!!!!!! you have to put so much boost through these motors to get power. At 15 PSI my car would have like 425 HP.
