At least you decided to keep it. Do it right and build up the new motor so you don't have this same situation again.

So the motor is out you plan on doing a bigger turbo and your not putting pistons in it? This makes zero sence tell your parents to get you pistons an rods instead of renting and exotic car for you. Explain to them it will keepthis from happening again, if the motor is out do it now don't wait just do it.

get a beater and build this motor, or just have it built back to stock and leave it that way with minor mods. No point in rushing the process and going through the heart break again mang.

dude me and bissey were checking out your turbo yesterday..Dont get a new one. This ones pretty decently sized..All i would do is a new motor and a fmic kit. and be done with it. oh and a clutch.

Dude, if you're replacing the motor in the car, you might as well build it. You're going to regret not doing this when you plan on doing more upgrades later.

Sorry to hear this man. Gotta keep these things oiled well prior to '09 they have weak rods amongst other things. I put 84k on mine and changed the oil w/ pp every 3k and its still tickin'. Couldn't you call your insurance company and say my engine exploded if you have full coverage?

im sure my mom tried that already. i have no clue whats going on.
7k is high i know i dont even care just offer me something. i have gotten an offer for 5800 and 5000 so far.
realistically speaking i think i may leave the car game (until i graduate college) and pick up like a little bmw or something.
also found a real clean s14...could build that....just dont know.

and honduh i dont know why you gotta rant on everything. like ya my car costs a lotta money, and is expensive....if your honda broke youd be upset too, but i wouldnt laugh at you. granted your car would be cheaper to fix, but eh what do i know, like you said, i just turned 18, an im still ****ttttin on ya

Sorry to hear man. I would sell the car for 6k (talk the 5,800 guy up 200) then save your cash for at least a year and then buy something you really want. When you're 100% sure you want to be in the car game. Those cars make nice power with just bolt ons, no need to get a new turbo. Insurance isn't helping you? Return the car to stock and take it up on warrenty? (idk your full story with this car so if this was already discussed or is out of the pic from the get-go i apologize)

There have been alot of advances when it comes to tuning. It has become fairly common now to see 400whp stock block mazda's.

BTW don't get a gt28 most people are moving to a 3076 to move their tq curve further up the rpm range.
