ROFL ive been looking at some local diesel trucks and i have literally laughed out loud at the response i've gotten... 2001 Ford F-250 7.3L deisel, 165k, rust spots on it, jacked up for someone who is lacking a penis, price? = 17,500$. What in the flying **** are these people smoking? that a truck with 165k owned by a ****ing kid goes for 17k?! What the hell has the world come to?

Doubtful, because I'm pretty sure I've seen him driving around like that before.

Strong (and most likely accurate) theory

PS - Jeremy, the dude who was going to buy the wheels backed out so you can still see how well they fit if you want. They will almost definitely require some pulling of the fenders

So I think I found my next vehicle... the truck is nice, except its not 4x4 or anything really special, and it sucks balls on gas. So I've pretty much narrowed it down to a 2002 Nissan Maxima (either SE or SLE). Most of them have about 95-120k on the ODO, but being Nissan's they run forever with grenades in the gas tank. So i'm pretty sure i'm gonna make that move come Feb. thoughts?

Ive known quite a few people who've had maximas who blew their motors. just from DD usage, not modified or anything like that.

Interesting. Every site i've looked at from 2000-2003 the maxima's have gotten 4.5 stars out of 5 from over 200 reviews per site. No offense to your friends, but these cars don't just blow up for no reason. Its usually because of no maintenance or them beating the **** out of them. Not to mention you still see ton's of them on the road today, which says something about their durability. Pretty impressive for a 12-14 year old car that is apparently a piece of **** according to your friends Jeremy.. no offense man. The numbers just don't add up, ( i think the total reviews of the sites I saw were in the upper 600's) i'd say 98% of the owners raved about the car.. most of them had 120k+ on the ODO and had nothing but praises for it. So either your friends got lemons (which is not likely, but entirely possible ) or they are being over-dramatic. From what i've read these are pretty solid cars for the price. But I appreciate your input as a local guy, so thank you for chiming in man, I appreciate it

I always liked the older maximas. The v6 in those had some solid power and a decent exhaust note.

There's still a bunch on the road, so I'd say that speaks volumes. My friend had the Infiniti I35 and that car was awesome. He had it up til last year and he makes like 85k a year and lives with his parents lol. Finally he got rid of it for a brand new Grand Cherokee.

I35 and Maxima are basically the same car I believe.

We have a loaded 99 Maxima that floats around the family since new. Still one of my favorite cars to do trips in! I would never want one as a "sports car" though. ****s super scary at high speeds. Between the light throttle and the omg I never drove a car with such a touchy steering wheel, car is all over the place.

People have always said the suspension was stiffer than they'd like. But then again I love tight steering. I love the feel of a car that rides on rails. Everything ive read says that people love the engine, the torque, power, how the car looks and feels. The only thing it lost on (hence 4.5/5) was the stiff suspension. I don't really see that as a negative but to each their own. I still love the look of that car, the SE model or SLE was possibly my favorite. jza, good looking out about the I35, learn something new everyday. So if i cant find a decent max in that price range at least i'll have somewhere else to look. Thanks man

I also had another question for you guys... If i were to buy a vehicle from Jersey and transfer it to PA, does NJ have a 30 day temp tag that I can buy at a tag store or something to transfer the vehicle to PA? or will I have to tow it as I'm from PA? Thanks guys!

Jersey I believe you when they sell cars the title can be signed without a notary (which is insane imo) lol. I know when you buy a new car over there they give you a temp tag. Just call a PA Tag place and ask them, they would know for certain.
