i disagree, getting the badges powdercoated purple would look good IMO, the car already has a purple & black theme, so why not continue it?

Thanks guys... yeah we headed up to NE2K9 today (did I talk about that already? I'm on no sleep...) and it was a frustrating and difficult trip but it was a good time all in all... met some new guys who were all really nice, and the car was received really well.
Its always surprising but really cool to have people just be like "Troll, right? I read all about your car on SupraForums..." and other really nice comments. I got that sort of thing a half dozen times today or more, I never realize how many read without posting... but its really cool that the car gets recognized.
And yeah, I had a sort of unexpected win for "best engine bay" at the show... so I got my first trophy ever, haha. I posted a pic of it along with the other show photos, I'll copy it over here...

got new parts for the ebrake and fixed it so that should be fine now. i sent you a pm about the rotors for reasons you'll see in the below pics... hrmmm.

and thanks for the comments guys, here are a couple from today. got motivated to debadge finally, something i've planned to do for a long time. happy to see that the paint beneath looks decent, just needs to be buffed to get the halo out. i'll also be removing the center T logo and changing it out for a stock one which is dark gray. I'd go completely naked but unfortunately the front and rear T logos have holes under them...

How the badges were on the car since I got them... I knew the red wasnt for me but was more focused on other 'essentials' first...


Dental floss... I tried using heat but it wasnt making much of a difference so I just did it without


The glue residue left behind after the badge came off


Wipe on some Goo Gone, let it soak. Do that a few times to let it soak in well, then lightly start 'peeling' the glue off... shoudl remove a decent amount. Then apply the Goo Gone again, let it soak, and repeat until its all gone. Need to buff the halo out, again no time today but I'll probably leave that to my detailer so its done right anyway.


Halo again, but it'll be gone soon enough.


The center badge will be swapped to a stock gray one, I just ran out of time today...

Yeah there are holes in the front and rear under the Toyota emblems... I'm having the front bumper repainted and will probably have the holes filled but on the rear I'll be putting on a stock Toyota emblem which is a dark gray color and will look a lot cleaner.

I had Bonehead powdercoat the calipers. Both Chuck at Bonehead and Martin at LPC have done work on this car and its all come out really really nice!

And as for the plate... hahaha. I'm sneaky. You can see the TROLL plate on the Subaru, and the new TR0LL plate in my hand which is now on the Supra... do you see what I did there?

Oh and since this pic was right next to the one of my car, this is what the stock badging looks like on a black Supra... I'll just have the center Toyota emblem on there and its nice cause it matches the taillights... pretty clean looking.

I like everything with the exception of the wheels but that’s just because my personal preference. I hate wheels that have the bolts like that on the side like that. I just always thought they looked cheap.

I’m not saying your wheels are ugly… I’m just saying I personally hate wheels like that in general. That and I hate chrome or any chrome lips so it’s really like a double whammy lol. The purple is an interesting color choice. I would have went with something that didn’t stick out like the purple, but then again I don’t own a Supra so what would I know.

I tend to like the red badges on the back and I would have kept them on along with painting the calipers red so they would match… but that is just me. I’m rocking unpainted calipers and stock WRX wheels so what do I know :D.

Everything looks good but I agree with the wheels. Black with chrome lip was so 2005.
