weight viper 1551 kg / 3420 lbs empty, there were two people inthe viper that could easily be 400lbs together
cavalier stock 2580, i have weighed my car with me in it and the subs its 2885...thats almost a 600 lb difference.... counting the passengers would be 1000 lbs difference.
transmission 6-Speed Manual cavalier 5 speed manual, Im sure most 5 speeds have longer gears than six's, so wouldnt that mean more shifting for the viper and more opportunities for a missed shift

my only point in posting this is not to keep this thing going but to prove a point, even on paper it says this race is possible, i know u guys would like to think that its impossible for 4 cylinders to match ten, but its possible, like i said i may never get that lucky again, and maybe the guy was also a crappy driver, i know i shouldnt have beaten him, i got lucky, i did not smoke him, i barely passed him. and also 415hp is in brand new condition, im sure we all know over time motors lose performance, this car was at least 10 years old. I passed him and so did greg and boosted G.

lol and my lambo hinges weigh 6 pounds each, 12 lbs total, i have two hinges on each side from the factory, they might weigh about 1 1/2lb so thats 3 pounds on each side that i added, im sure that added like 3 seconds to my 1/4 mile time, the whole audio setup does not even weigh 100 pounds guys i dont have two mtx jackhammers i have two 12inch subs, im not trying to compare my car to a viper at all so dont take this the wrong way, hands down there is no comparison, i would trade my car, my gf and my left nut for a viper lol.
im still waiting for time slips from you before i make my final decision on you.

i would...for a Viper or anything with SRT in the name plate. they are built well. i would love to have a SRT-8 Jeep or Charger.

I know, I love them still, I'd totally rock one as a daily, but definately wouldn't give up the MSM for one.

Shoot, 30psi 500whp on the STOCK BLOCK!!!! That thing lasted over 50K miles running me to work EVERY day and hitting the track every weekend. Charger has almost 50K on it now and it runs like new.

I'm just not a big fan of chrysler,plymouth,dodge,jeep,eagle...etc
nothing wrong with you guys or anybody else for that matter for wanting one or owning one. Just not for me. I think in my 20yrs of driving I have owned about 90% of the other vehichles out there though. I would not buy a vw either, even though I have owned one before.



As for trading my gf for a Viper....

hey im up for going whenever ur ready, i think im going to hit 95 and do some more datalogging and try to tweak my tune a little more, lol my car has been retuned about 20 times now, good thing i have all the software and hardwareto do it myself or this would cost me a fortune. so who else wants to go to atco, and we need to pick a date unless u were talking about tomorrow

which program do you use? HPTuners? I have to do more datalogging of my car as well. Only been tuned for a month and already has been tuned and retuned at LEAST 25 times. Got better once I was on the dyno though. I could see results directly from my tune changes.

I am getting close to atco ready, I cant turn a good time on this converter, I need to upgrade first, but when I do that I am just swapping in another trans but with reverse full manual vavlebody and a transbrake. That paid with the 92/92 combo and a retune I should be putting down the number I want to see +500ftlbs

no i dont use hp tuners it will not work for the 95 cavaliers since they are not odb2. I use tuner pro rt for the datalogging part, and rt tuner (tunercat) for the emulation part, the datalogging program and tools i use would work for ur car u just need a few different files to start like an xdf which is a definition file, a bin file, which would be the tune ur currently running unless u want to start from scratch and the ads file for logging. if u know ur ecm code, which it should be on the cover of it then tunercat should have a defintion file for u
