This threads funny. The meets not gonna get messed up by racing, or talking about racing on here trust me. Its gonna happen because in the past 3 weeks, It went from respectable turbo, and v8 powered cars to ricers. there was literally 2 hondas in the parking lot and one of them has been in the 10s. Then the past two weeks i saw alot more stupid kids, leaving the meet getting on it, ripping though the parking lot. I seen that turbo bmw doing some rolling burn outs down two rows in the parking lot. People flying by the meet in cars, and slp loud mouth exhaust (by the way slp should get blown up for making that exhaust) Then the ls2 rev limiter contest between the ctsv and the gto. Glorified domestic ricers if you ask me. Maybe the stupid mercedes benz with tvs all over it and the police siren, using ot while the police were driving though this past week, not even parked in a spot is a good thing for the meet like that mercedes was, or about a half dozen other cars.

Thats whats gonna break it, and thats the plague thats slowly building at the meet. There like mosquitos and there gonna come and ruin it. Word spreads and they come. I mean theres videos being posted of racing in the thread?! I dont care but its condradicting itself isnt it? You cant talk about racing, but physical evidence is perfectly fine?! Now you got guys that enjoy building/driving there "fast" cars, hanging out meeting new people, and getting to use them if possible. They respect what they build, and respect the meeting spot. They take the stuff elsewere and do there thing. Thats my opinion, take it for what it is but i see people pointing fingers the wrong directions.

When was that? There's a turbo BMW that shows up?

And I like my SLP exhaust, I'd prefer that they don't get blown up

Anyway. I just wanted to man up and apologize for what I did. I was a complete @$$hole. I talked to John today, and told him I was WAY out of line. He and you guys had every right to be mad at me, and what I did/said. Truth be told, I feel really bad about it; as I should. Again man, im sorry for what I said. Just uncalled for, and plain out wrong.

ha! ha! yea thats where they go when your lining up the balanced rotating assembly ..each rod is numbered for a cylinder and the valve reliefs have to go in the correct way ,,.as well as the tapper on the rods must point out twards the counterweight on the crank the flat side meets the other rod ..
i like to set the pistons and rods in there hole after putting the spyrol locks on the rods (there are 2 spyrol locks per side on good pistons and there a pita to get off once there in there )..you also ,when file fitting rings keep them with the cylinder you set them up for as there are some minor changes in bore diamter from cylinder too cylinder ...
i like to have all the wristpins in.. oil and compression rings on, and everything ready to go before i start dropping the slugs in so i can double check to make sure all the rings are in correctly "top" facing up ect ..
then start the assembly ,ive already checked crank and rod tollerances for the bearing clearances .in the end ill go over it all again ...and the get out the degree wheel and put the cam and timing chain on ..

and this isnt for my race car im building a sbc mustang for a cruiser ..
