Bry, I have drag radials on stock wheels if you wanna give them a shot. I have to check to make sure they aren't dry rotted first though.

Yea, they're notorious for breaking loose. 275, 295, 315...they all break loose. Street compound tires just aren't sticky enough to put the power to the ground.

Bryan I am not sure what tires you are running, but if they are summer tires, they are terrible in the cold weather. The compound gets really hard, and it could turn a school bus into a burnout maching. I put some all seasons on my car today 285's in the rear, and instead of spinning through first second and third, I now get a slight chirp.

I'm on a MAP ECU... wanted to keep it simple for now since there were so many other variables with this car... I'm planning to stick with it for the time being as I have plenty of new things to get used to here, but ultimately I think I'd plan to add cams and a standalone, and maybe eventually a billet turbo. I'm interested to see what happens with the AEM2 and I'm not really in a rush so we'll see how things play out.
And yeah they're summer tires... I guess it was like 45 degrees last night give or take, so you're right that they aren't optimal at those temps... thats good at least cause although its fun to break the tires loose, i'd much prefer to have traction. The tires are rubbing a little already, which kind of surprised me

IMHO, . GForce works best for me but you go through them fast. 295 hits just a bit on my rolled fenders. 285s SO3s were breaking loose at 80 before cam and AEM so I went to BFG DR 18x35x295. I got them down to 1.66 60' at maple. 275 MTs on stock wheels is good on low boost and 6700 rpm, 7800 is a different story all togther hehee.
BTW, how is it that a 1 bar spring goes up to 22lb? We should talk sometime. Mike |

Yea 60mph burnouts are a blast. The best is merging onto the turnpike at certain spots, you can make a great smoke show. Have fun with that beast, be careful. Is this your first high h.p. rwd car?

Mike thanks for the info... and I'm puzzled about a 15psi spring hitting 22psi as well... but a handful of others said that it could just be normal and just to drop the spring pressure. I'm going to give that a shot and check out the rest of the wastegate system while I'm at it... then give it another run to see how she goes. I'm going to drop to a 7psi spring just so I have some breathing room in case it still overboosts, and we'll see how it goes.
And this is my first RWD car ever actually... because of that I am making a conscious effort to tread softly as I learn the car...

BFG 17" 275's worked great for me i was able to cut 1.54 60fts. and the life of them isn't too bad. I also hear good things about the 18" Mt drag radial aswell.
I have CCWs with ET street now and they are great for the track but suck for highway driving. They feel like your driving a 84 buick floating everywhere |

Big dawg car with a little dawg driver.
Nothing brings a smile to my face more than hearing it breaks loose at 60mph. I think I could get you on wastegate pressure now.
