yo tim, that first one is pretty damn good. the second one is a lil over exposed, the sky is blown out. overall not bad. definite improvement

Not used to shooting people, but here are 2 of my pop. All done with my 50mm

Kinda bummed that they are blurry

Checked out the exif and they were shot at 1/15 second, you should try, in most situations to shoot at a higher shutter speed than the focal length of your lens, so if you used your 50mm you should at least have a 1/60 shutter speed. This probably would have been achieved if you were at f/1.8 and not f/4 and if you didn't want the shallow DOF from f/1.8 then bump your iso up because there's no reason to be at iso100 if you're getting 1/15 shutter speeds.
