Formula 1...who watches?

You guys and your fancy cable and speed channel. My direct tv package doesnt include speed so I have to stream it in some foreign language. Anyway, looks like Jenson Button and Nico Rosberg are running pretty strong in practice. Sure is nice to see the underdogs on top this year. Got tired of always seeing Ferrari and McLaren on the podium...

Couldn't catch qualifying, i was out til 5am. Got work early tomorrow so ill watch it on speed at 4:30pm when it reairs.

last i saw the race button was in 1st with barichello in 2nd... i think that was with 30 something laps left... yellow flag b/c iirc bmw-sauber drove on top of toyots and took its entire rear wing off...crazy!

messy messy but awesome race. vettel is amazing, he held it down strong and kept posting up some sick times consistently. he deserves the win.

it was a cool race, lots of position changes, and overtakes due to running off course and lack of visibility.

i think for the most part everyone held it together very nicely.

poor ferrari. they just couldn't catch a break yesterday, between massa's car not up-shifting, and raikkonen having engine troubles. . . just not a good weekend for them . .

Yep - I got lucky... I was watching qualifying in the morning and went to sleep. I randomly woke up at like 7:45 and realized I should just put the TV on and snooze to it. Good race...

Gonna have to bump this and throw out a get well to Massa... if you didn't catch what happened in Q2 check this video out, a spring fell off of Barichellos Brawn GP car and struck Massa in the head in a freak accident, knocking him out and causing him to hit the tire wall.

Schumacher may consider F1 return

Michael Schumacher would consider becoming a temporary replacement for the injured Ferrari driver Felipe Massa, his spokeswoman has revealed.

With Massa almost certain to miss a number of races as he recovers from the injuries he suffered in his Hungarian Grand Prix accident, Schumacher's name has emerged as a potential candidate.

The seven-time world champion remains an advisor for the team and, since quitting F1, has confined his racing activities to motorbikes.

And although Schumacher has stated many times that he has no interest in making a comeback, his spokeswoman Sabine Kehm said on Tuesday that he would not automatically reject the idea of stepping into Massa's car if Ferrari asked him.

"The whole thing will be considered by Ferrari. If they approach Michael, then he will consider it," Kehm told the BBC. "But there is no reason for him to step into their discussion.

"Usually, I would say he's not interested because he's fine with his life and he doesn't miss anything but now the situation is so different - it's very hypothetical - and Michael doesn't want to step into that [discussion]."

Schumacher has kept fit since he turned his back on F1 at the end of 2006, but is probably nowhere near the fitness levels he had when racing - especially following a sizeable motorbike crash earlier this year.

"Michael had a motorcycle accident in February when he had a neck problem - and I really can't tell you if his neck would be fine to drive an F1 race," Kehm added.

"If Ferrari asked him whether he would consider driving, he would have it checked - and remember he is a 40-year-old man, too."

Schumacher last tested a Formula 1 car in April 2008, when he tested an F2008 at Barcelona.
