I don't really have a set diet, I just eat whatever, though if I did make a plan and stuck to it I'm sure I would progress much faster.

Workout wise I am pretty inconsistent. I go 3-4 times a week and do 1-2 muscle groups each day, no cardio (again would help a lot).

Day 1: arms, chest
Day 2: shoulders, back
Day 3: legs, abs
Day 4: little bit of each (forearms, shrugs, etc. basically stuff i overlook the other days)

I have pretty good muscle structure so I just need to plan and commit and I'll be good. I wanted to be more or less in shape for the beach for the summer but I slacked

Stop slacking. Begin your work outs with cardio! Push yourself their and you will see an even bigger increase in body mass. Just started going back to the gym and have seen some pretty big results the first three weeks.

Dieting is a must. No junk food! Baked Lays for chips, no sun chips, fiber from Cereal. Vitamin Water ("sync" has the complete dose of vitamins) and eat after your work out since your metablism is up, not before. You'll see a bigger improvement from just watching intake and hitting the treadmill and eliptical. Now do it!

Sometimes I start with a few minutes on the rowing machine, gets a little cardio work done, stretches you out and warms you up.
