Thats why you let the 10yr olds in china do it for 100bucks.

Here is my spearco and my ebay cooler side by side. The only flaw I see in the ebay one is that it would be a bit more efficient if the end tanks were centered like the spearco one. But in my case the end tank placement actually works out really well because I could fit my foglights in with the ebay cooler where I couldn't with the spearco.

The one I picked (21x5.5 core) I think was a better choice than getting something like an 18x12 that would go into the top of the bumper away from airflow, this way I have the ENTIRE core exposed to flow.

With my core I will have 115.5 square inches of front face for cooling vs. stock 64 (8x8). With something like an 18x12 which was a common size on ebay, I would have had 216 but I would only have 18x8 eposed, so 144, and with the general largeness of the core I think there would have been more lag.

I'll see when I get it in.

Yea this one will be centered. I really don't understand why the FM and BEGi ones cost near $500.

I mean I guess for FlyinMiata's FM2 Conversion, or Begi's S3 (i think) conversion, a real quality IC will make a difference, but that's already in the 275whp range, on a basic bolt-on MSM with around 200-210whp, there really shouldn't be much difference.

I finally bring you a half-decent exhaust vid under load...just wish I had told MSJWRX not to gun his car but w.e it still gives a small idea of how the car sounds from the outside under full load.

LOL...You sped up right in front of me at school like a week ago when I was walking from the parking lot. I was pretty surprised though.... The exhaust sounds pretty good. Sounds like a DSM with a loud exhaust.

I think my next step for exhaust will be an FM downpipe, and then maybe a custom exhaust or a cutout in the dp

Seems like there would be lots of room to fit one there. My concern is that with the cutout, I would throw a CEL correct?

Car should look like this Sunday (minus red couplers)

The new IC might not be tall enough to fill the mouth as much as that one but we can play around with it a little and maybe make it work. I'll update.

Gotta get in touch with ExtremePSi and see if I can get good couplers from them this week.

The 5.5 tall fits like this, I can't really see a difference in tallness because most goes into the bumper anyway.

I have a precision intercooler and I don't see how having cast tanks vs. sheet metal would make a difference really. And I def think this is a quality intercooler...

And since the inlet and outlet on the new IC matches my stock piping, I don't need to spend another 40 bucks on couplers.

Finally your intercooler won't be smaller than my tranny cooler. Your intercooler is thicker, but mine has fluid passing through it not air.
