So title to the HHR never came. Dealer said to call in 3 weeks if we didn't get it. We called 2 weeks ago. They said it was still being processed. Called again on Wed and they said it was FEDEX next day to us but couldn't give us the tracking number because the person that does all that was out. They said call back Friday. We did and the person wasn't there and said to call back Saturday. We called on Saturday, they said they couldn't help because it was too late in the day.

I told them the temp out of state tag expires tomorrow so the car can't be driven. Are you going to front the money for a loner since you messed up. They said no. I called the bank and requested a charge back on the account. I told the bank I can provide a phone log from my bill that we left several messages, emails, ect only to get the run arround. I can't wait to here their voice when they have no money and are told they can drive 14 hours to pick the car up.

Worst of all, they just said to drive the car and they would cover the tickets... cause driving an unregistered car is a great idea.... plus I'm sure my insurance wouldn't even cover it if something were to happen. Great idea when the car is used as a work vehicle with other peoples kids.

Needless to say, I guess we will be in the car market again.

Wow, thats a major headache.

How should the process have gone? Does the dealer where you bought the car have to send the PA Dept of Transport the old signed title and then the state will issue you a new title?

It took me two months when i got my '07 to get the title. I called the PA Dept of Trans witht he vin number and they were able to provide me a status of the new title.

Since it was out of state, we got a temp tag for it(good for 30 days). Ohio DOT sent the dealer the title with our name on it. The dealer was supposed to foreward the title to us next day air(we paid an extra $200 for them to do everything for us except have the vin verified by a local notory in PA). We take the Ohio title to a notory along with the car, they verify vins, then transfer the title from Ohio to PA and we get PA tags on the spot. The dealer told us the titles usually take 2 weeks max and thats why the Ohio temp tags are only for 30 days.

When I bought the Talon and my bike, I had the title in 2-3 weeks but they of course in state purchases.

Morning everyone. That sucks about the car Jay. Hopefully you can get it all straightened out, or find a new car.

As for me, I had a good weekend, went racing Saturday and went 4 rounds finally getting out of my first round slump and the rest of the weekend was nice. Treated the good old mustang to an oil change.
