got my fan shroud today as I said. guess what.

fans don't fit.

eh, its a mix of the vendors fault (not directly) and my fault. on the site it lists that it is for 11" SPAL Push fans.

well, I have SPAL push fans on my engine lid currently. So I measured from hole to hole on the fan and it was over 11", so I figured, cool I have 11" fans.

get the shroud, and the circle where the fan goes is 11.5"... from post to post where you mount the fan to the shroud, 12.5"

so I'm like wtf? after being on the phone with him for a bit, he was able to help me and figure out that the part number I have is actually a 10" fan, not 11". Which when it comes to stuff like this, I always get confused where they measure from/to and all that crap. anyway, since I want my car to be as fresh as possible for the car show at the end of this month, I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and use my credit card. not a huge deal because I'll pay it back in full next week no problem. but it just sucks the big one that I have to buy new fans. the guy was totally cool and is sending me his fans at his cost too which will save me like $15-20 after shipping and all that crap compared to the $110 he's charging on the site.

yeah. dude was in the weeds on the MR2oc for a while and got kicked off of being a vendor. but now he's gotten a second chance and is doing it right this time. called me within 5 mins of me sending an email and I didn't even have to ask to get them cheaper. he just said it out of the blue.

So, a friend of mine has a blank switchblade key from a VW he has, no chip in it and gave it to me because he drives a truck now lol and i was gonna see if i could get it cut, but, its too thick..dammit

And my day wasn't to bad. Lots of stuff at work as we had the CEO's and investors coming in so the store had to be top shape, plus I had to close for the past 3 nights so I am beat.
