Oakes - never met you, I have no financial ties with TST, I have no bias, but I do have an opinion on this matter.

If you make special pricing adjustments with people regarding dues and debts, you invoice. Being responsible for paying bills at a company, when I invoice someone $2000 net 30 and don't have it on day 31, $2000 is now $2250 net 45. And so on. If you were behind, you need to figure out whats up. If you are combining into favors being done then you need to iron out your expenses/payments before assuming square is square. Contracts. Invoices. Whatever. But it sounds like both of you were owed something at some point and then you thought you were up to date, then not, etc etc. Whatever -figure it out. The wrong thing to do is bash the owner of a website who HAS given you publicity. There's a level of respect that should be given - even if you are eff'ed over by a company, you save face because you are going to cross paths again. The only other forum I've seen you post on (other than detailing sites which I am not on), is Revmat.ch, which needless to say... doesn't exactly gain you any exposure at all with their traffic.

Secondly - I have a car. I have a wallet. I PM'd you about getting my car detailed. Now, with your actions being so unprofessional (even if you think you are being done wrong!) in a public manner, I am not so sure I'd want to be a customer - god forbid I have an issue, would you call me out and bash me and slander my site/name/accomplishments if I sought to get squared up? Who knows! Like I said, I don't know you, and maybe that's part of the problem with your personality projection. If you really feel you're owed something then as a business you compose yourself. You've not done that.

Thirdly - Troll doesn't have to talk positively about you. I am friends with the biggest BMW forums admin, and I know for a fact that he doesn't like some of his vendors, refers people to certain ones when asked for an opinion, etc - at the end of the day, if you don't like your treatment, you're free to leave. I am not alluding to him not liking you - I have no idea. Again, I don't know you, but if you gave me money to detail in the parking lot of my business or something cool, but that doesn't mean I am going to high five you when I go home at night. That's how it is.

Again, this is an outsiders point of view - the whole "TST Sucks Troll is an ass he deletes everything wah wah wah" thing is old and lame and unfounded. Things need to be moderated - don't like it? Move to Cuba and see what moderation is like. You paid/pay money to be a business here - owning a business is a profession, and as such you must act professional - you've not done this. I've seen the facebook slander and other crap - its not necessary man. I've been done wrong in my life - the best thing to do is take the higher path. If you are due something, pursue it, but doesn't make it our business.

I understand and agree with your post here. This matter has clearly been a touching nerve for me that I have tried to conceal for quite a few months. With that said, I'm going to end this discussion as I have let it get out of hand and should compose myself better, in the same way that email ended it is rare someone's arrogance gets to me. It did here with Troll, and I've avoided this simply because I didn't want to cause a scene. Self control this long get's to be wearing. Just kind of set me over when word got back to me that he has been crying wolf. Thank you for your insight.

I would also like to point out, that this is a very different situation than one that would ever arise between a client of mine, the reason I am here addressing these points is to forewarn and at least acknowledge the way things are done here for other vendors. I have nothing further I want to discuss here, as I get dizzy chasing the same horse around a merry-go-round.

I would like to hit on one more thing because I am offended by your comment as much as I am sure Troll is.

This - way, way out of line. I have spent an enormous amount of money on my car since that meet. We donated the money from sonic. PERIOD. You may be used to some "other" events/groups not doing that, or claiming they did/do and don't, but by making this accusation not only insults Bryan but as a co-coordinator of the event I too am taken back.

The amount of time that both Bryan and I spent on an event cannot be quantified - we donated all proceeds. Bryan bought a used clutch, used wheels/tires for his car, and probably some shoes and socks - I don't know, I don't follow him that closely. I've spent probably $12,000 on cameras and car items since the event. If anything, I am worse than he is, right!? I am sorry to be so blunt but it's truly disheartening to see even mild allegations made like that. If you know anything about me or what I stand for you would know that I would never allow that to happen, but it wouldn't come to that because Bryan would never do that.
