So i found out my car is spiking to 25 psi and tappering down to 19 psi by 6500 ish. Gonna crank the boost up some more to see if i can get it to hold more up top

The lil' 16g must be getting a workout...

wow, i thought it was bad to be spiking? that you should always be relatively consistant? or you're always generally in that area?

I don't think spiking is bad unless you run out of fuel or something. It's definitely going to kill the turbo sooner but I'm not too worried about that.

The wastegate is fine. It's a small turbo, it spikes but can't hold the boost up top. I'd like it to hold 23 ish up top.

I'll see if the higher spike makes it hold more boost up top or if i need to mess with the actuator.

I got a thread on dsmtalk about pushing the 16g and some people are making it spike to 30+ and holding 24 ish to redline. About 2 weeks ago, some guy actually just got his auto 1g awd to hold 25-27 to redline and the thing just went 10s on a 16g

I'm on a completely bone stock motor top to bottom and pump gas. So far, car shows zero knock with 10.9-11.0 afrs' and 19 degrees of timing up top.

What time are you showing do you think? I might come up and just look for your car and park close..don't want to be associated with the morons
