For this particular situation we seem to be going around in circles about being respectful vs. disrespectful when pulled over.... Lets recap what happened in OnSale's situation.....

BOOM right there.... 2nd thing the officer says... Completely unwarranted and disrespectful. Sole purpose of the officers comments are to agitate him into a conflicting response. He wasn't saying "Why the **** did you pull me over officer", or anything hostile like that. (as far as we know).
So IMO, he held it cool until hassled. I don't know about any of you... but a badge shouldn't mean you have to be subjected to that condescending ****.

I've done some dumb stuff and walked away with nothing becasue of my attitude towards cops. They're allways right, you're allways wrong.

I did a 50foot long burnout at a freshworks meet back in the day in my RX-7. Cop caught me red-handed. I was extreamly polite to him, showed him respect, and he let me off with a warning for the burnout and a ticket for expired inpsection wich he dropped after I got the car inspected.

Yeah, you ran into an asshole cop. It sucks but you really made it worse when you gave him an attitude.
