GM called. They replace the wastegate and the car still doesn't work... now they are ording a new turbo. So even more time without the car. I hate you GM. Just thought I would say that I know more about cars then your techs do and I only consider myself a novice mechanic.

I've gotten at least 5 texts from people asking if I'm ignoring them this week. And every time, I've gone to write back forgetting that I can't! Grrr.

Thanks buddy. Within the last thousand miles or so, its had several sensors go bad, and now I'm worried about what could be happening. New camshaft positioning sensor showed up though, so that's the start of problem. If that goes bad again, that means alternator is bad too.

Yeah but that shouldn't have anything to do with the loss of coolant, even if it's an additional pita. In general I've learned that if you can't find coolant on the garage floor, bend over, grab your knees and prepare for bubba because it's a blown head gasket. Do those ford engines have coolant circulating through the intake manifold like some of the gm 4 bangers? That's another potential (and much cheaper) loss vector.

The Ford V6 in the Windstar was knows for blowing head gaskets... I thought it was a 3.8l too but don't qoute me on that.

Marina and I were considering florida but now that the oil spill hit we're waiting to see what happens to property values. Not that either of us can find a job down there anyway.

I think the economy in the south is going to tank with the oil spill. They rely heavy on tourism and I bet that is going to drop like crazy so people will be finding jobs elseware.

That's because down there the cost of living is cheap but you are getting paid less than if you were here.

Yeah Mark, that's what I'm thinking, its gone somewhere in the engine. Draining oil at some point.
