Thats what im basically doing,and my mom works at the county college so i dont have to pay for classes,only books.

Yeah..with my mom talking about picking up a second job and my dad working more than he used too, i want to try and take some burden off of them..and if it means doing that i will.

Sleeper that is definately something to consider. Not easy doing full time of both.

Yeah. they do a lot for me and honestly haven't really done anything. i help out around the house and whatever i can but i need to do more financially to help them out.

I try to do that at times with my parents Sleeper but they usually won't accept it because they want to see me save towards my future.

As in financially i meant paying my stuff, not necessarily help pay bills, but my insurance and stuff like that.

yeah, i've donated enough money to my parents. not to sound like a prick, but, the next time my family asks me for money (mainly my sister and her damn wedding) i'm going to tell them "sorry, i need to save for myself."

And they are successful too? That just proves that you shouldn't listen to anything they say espically if it relates to you and your finances. Heck why use his experiance, its not like it worked for him or anything.

My mom and dad used to do the same when i was young. My dad was so concerned about me learning to save money that when i got my first job, he would match whatever i put in a savings account. By no means was it alot of money, but it taught me a lesson.

You greenhorns can take that and use it once your fathers free of charge.
