I'm gonna be emissions exempt next year. I rode 1/2 the winter on the bike and now I beat on the Talon most days. Not that it really matters because I will pass emissisions no problem even without cats.

200k is impressive.

To be fair I blew the head gasket at 181,000 and I did refresh the top end at that time (but it still would have been fine even if I didn't). The bottom end is now starting to get tired and consume a lot of oil but still no mechanical failure, rod knock, etc. Go synthetic oil. This is fairly impressive when you consider when I bought the car at 125,000 miles I found a ticket in the glove box for 127 in a 65. This car clearly has been driven hard.

I get too sick of mine to keep one for 100k miles. I'm shocked I put 40k on it actually. In another year I'm going to start looking into an early to mid 2000s Viper and a POS daily beater. I just want something different.

I've been thinking about vipers too. They're such a good value (both in terms of performance and how much ladies like that kind of car).

Damn, a cocky BMW owner said you can throw thousands of dollars at a Honda but it will still be rice. I called him out on his ignorance and then the thread got deleted. DAMN IT!

actually had this discusion on a honda site. and hell, even the honda owners said the same.

i mean, you can have one of the cleanest EG civics in the world, yet some douche can pull up in a beat up BMW 3-series, and people will still say the BMW is better.

Hell, and with women. I forgot where i read this, but, they took 50 women, should them a picture of a nicely modd'd civic, and then a pic of a slightly beaten BMW 3-series. The majority of the women said they would rather date the guy with the BMW, cause the think he has more money.

Well I have both so I am set. Haha, but I don't like how people associate rice with Honda. I mean yes Honda's are known to be riced out, but there are so many clean and fast Honda's out there that far from rice. I love my Honda and will drive it into the ground.

Oh yeah it did. i was on a field with no trees, shade, or a breeze. I got some nice sun, but felt i tad sick afterward even though i drank almost a gallon of water. OH well. air conditioning is on now at home and I'm just relaxing.

I am doing good. I checked under the Accord just now for rear bushing deterioration and looks like I need trailing arm bushings, and might as well do the lower control arm ones too. Then do the front radius arm bushings, struts and springs, and get it aligned. On a good note, no rust on a 21 year old car!

I am contemplating whether or not I should install my Auto Meter volt meter into the Honda instead of the SunPro I have now.
