Yeah, but he's always up tight about money even though I know he doesn't have issues. Either way I am paying my own way (loans) so once I graduate I'll be paying them off.

yeah for big stuff like that I dont ask for money from my parents. but when they do lend my money I pay them back because I always feel bad lol. especially with my mom. it's a fine line sometimes.

You drive a BMW and you just did a trans swap. If you can afford that, you can afford tuition. I would want my money back too if I was in his shoes. Sounds like his going at it the wrong way, but college isn't supposed to be about just having fun. If your parents are fronting the bill the least you could do is respect them and not waste a crap load of money.

Morning all. What a long weekend with Pinks All Out. Almost got picked in a considered pack. Car ran amazing and it was great going fast again. Fun running in front of thousands of people too.

You might be misplacing the causation. He doesn't have issues because he is uptight, clearly so much so that he can't turn it off for his own son ;)

Mind you my trans swap was less than 1k, and tuition is more than 10k a year. This is the first bill I asked them to help me with, they haven't and won't be paying for the remaining 3 years that I have left. Oh and currently college is not fun because the classes I have to take for my major, for the first two years, are bull**** classes.

Doesn't matter that you only spent $1k and tuition is $10k. That is still $1K that you wasted when you could help pay your way. If my kid were to do that to me, I'd drop him on his ass. Just sayin. I'm not trying to say don't have fun, but that would be like my parents paying my college/ect and then me buying a brand new car. The amount doesn't matter, its the principle.

Def fell your pain about the first 2 years or so being worthless. I don't know why college takes so long. Personally I think 2.5 years is enough to learn what you need in the majority of majors.

Well I didn't do the swap because I wanted to. The automatic in the car was on its last leg thus I never drove it. And I am paying my way through college with student loans, however, this class I need to take was unexpected, thus I don't have the money right now to pay for it but I need the class.

As far as classes, I think a year of these bull**** classes and then another year or two of major intended classes would be good.
