Apple to make Verizon iPhone

They'll probably start to target specific phones for upgrades then...like say they'll make one phone ridic cheap to boost sales and make people think they are getting a deal. I've never kept a phone the full two years...this should be interesting.

My work phone is through AT&T and 3g and it is god awful in south jersey, let alone in buildings. Which turned me away from even considering the iPhone. Great phone that I can't use as a phone... I have a iTouch-
My personal phone is though Verizon and the service is ten times better, I love my BB but the iPhone is ten times better.
Now I can have a great phone on a great network... I likey-

You know what I find amusing....all these VZ fanboys speaking of how bad AT&T is.

Did no one catch on that because of VZ's current cell phone network, the Iphone on VZ will not be able to do both data and cellular simultaneously like it can on AT&T. That means you aren't going to get your text messages while on the phone, and you can't check your mail, or tell someone to hold on to look something up on the net. Yeah, way to go VZ.

Its not a big factor for me. When im on the phone, i'm only concentrated on talking. If I need to look something up or do something i will call them back,not a big deal.

It's not that I'm a Fanboi, but Verizon's coverage is better the AT&T's, if it was the opposite I guess I would be a AT&T fanboi.

For people who are already on Verizons network and used to this...its not a big deal. It will be a big deal though for all the people Verizon expects to switch over from AT&T who are used to having multitask capabilities.

Yeah I get what you guys are saying. I'm not saying it's a huge deal, but to me it would definitely be a point to consider. I was more or less stating that VZ has it's issues just like AT&T or any company really.

I personally hate VZ. To me, there coverage wasn't all that great, but besides that, they tried to screw me out of quite a bit of money, even after I had been with them for about 8 years. That's another story though lol.

Billing issues is exactly why I left Verizon and went to Cingular. Verizon covereage was 100X better then Cingular but Cingulars customer care was top notch. Now that they are ATT, they are slipping on their customer service. They shut my phone off because when I paid the bill online, I made a typo and missed like $10 of it. Was only a customer since 2006... $10, really? I paid it like 10 seconds after I found out my phone was off. Felt like a deadbeat from it. Got socked with a $36 activation fee too on my next bill. Granted, it was my fault but why gouge a customer that pays their bill and doesn't complain?

really? that must be an issue with the iphone because i get texts while on the phone just fine.. I cannot send them back however.

I've been on verizon, I don't own any Apple products except for an ipod. So no I didn't know that because I haven't followed them. Slow your roll.

No its not. Look up CDMA vs GSM networks. It's not because of the iPhone.

You might still get texts, I'm not saying that for a definite. But anything else that requires data, will not work. There are actually quite a number of articles/reviews on the net already comparing an iPhone on both.

I also get text while talking on my verizon phone now. I thought Verizon was getting the Iphone 4 and it was going to be able to multi-task as in read messages and text back while talking?
