On a daily basis I wear sneakers, but if im at work(lifeguard) beach or lake I wear them, also if im going outside real quick and dont feel like getting shoes and socks.

i've got to admit, i voted 'totally gay', but that's for flip flops. IMO, no way around it. flip flops are very gay. however, since i do a lot of backpacking, i rock the birkenstock-style walmart jesus cruisers around the site to let my feet air out and relax. there's nothing worse after a day of +/- 10 mi. on the trail than removing backpacking boots and having to put them back on just to roam around setting up camp. the cruisers are light enough to throw in the pack so it works out.

once in a while i'll wear them when i go somewhere in the summer or i'll wear them around at the beach and while kayaking or something, but that's it.

maybe i'm alone on this one, i dunno. i think flip flops are gay as hell, but jesus cruisers are acceptable for guys.

yeah i dunno if you're implying that they're gay as well or not, but ehh.. who cares.

i did point and laugh at a friend of mine who bought birkenstock sandals for like $100. i showed him my el cheapo walmart version that were tagged for $10... then marked down to $6... then was orange tagged for $3.50... and turned out to be $1.00 at the register.

function over form. i guess that can be applied to someone wearing flip flops also, but then again, i just can't stop thinking that a person is a homo while hearing their girly flip flop sounds.

I bought 6 pairs of the exact same Etnies flip flops a couple of years ago since they were going to discontinue them (I believe that they brought them back though). Totally awesome. They will last me easily another decade. However, I do want the flipflops that have a flask built in to them.

On the other hand, sandals?? Totally gay.

These are sandals to me...and they are still totally gay

My footwear literally flip flops when I walk, so they are flip flops. I know because they make the noise, "flip........flop". Sandals stay strapped to your feet and are just completely gay. Or for jesus. I'm not walking across a ****ing desert though, so "flip........flop" is good for me.

gotcha. that works. i've just always called anything that treats your toes like a buttcrack in a thong "flip flops". anything else = sandals.

who cares anyway. lol. i think everyone can agree that there are certain things that are simply not okay for a dude to wear.

db8integra: does not apply to sneakers the same way. again, just my opinion, but if you're wearing the toe thong flip flop things, you have at least once thought about putting your mouth on or around another man's nether regions.

i hate flip flops (those are the ones that go between the big toe right?>?? HOW THE **** DO YOU KEEP THEM ON YOUR FEET???? & arent they unbaribly uncomfortable?) but i do have a pair of sandals i wear when im @ the beach (& only @ the beach)
