man you gotta just ignore what anyone says about your car, I catch **** for getting a hyundai all the time, but I don't even let it phase me. I got my car cause I liked it, I paid 14,500 cash for it, I could have gotten an SRT-4/WRX for that, or put it down on an evo or STi, but I wanted a tiburon, so that's what I got. As long as I like my car, **** what anyone else says about it

I know what your saying, I drive a 02 Hyundai Elantra everyday. But the thing about it is I love it more than anything, it never breaks down and it's awesome on gas. I wouldn't give it up for anything!

I just put up that I got harness's, that's all. I didn't expect it to turn into something with views on how to mount them etc. I mean, it's over now. Oh well. lol

No matter how much money you put into that car there is allways gonna be people who don't like it.

I know how you feel. You have so much invested into the car. I had about 20,000$ into the RX-7. It was all lost because somebody felt the need to steal it one night. I could of had alot of better things for that money. That's why I'm through with expensive cars for the moment.

Also, rice is considered a mod that proves no purpose other than looks for the most part, which is what you are saying all you got the takatas for.

How can you like my car when you have never seen it? It started as a joke with some of my friends and me with the bashing on takata's and then others were talking **** as well. For the most part, nothing was said about me, right? They were talking about the belts in general and how they are over priced and what not. Oh well, then don't buy them. I got a hookup on them so I went for it, not like I wasn't going to get them anyway. The belts in no way are rice. I bought the harnesses because they go well with the seats and I wanted it for some shows, big deal. Alot of things aren't needed. Why do people put lip kits and jdm headlights and what not? Why do you need them? They are no more important than these harnesses but since they cost money people like to talk **** on them. I built the car for a reason and I will continue to build it. No one has ever said anything negative about my car and everyone seems to like it. Why? I dunno, I guess I put something together that flows nice and has sick parts on it, but it's STILL A CAR.

Ego, tell me how? I posted up that I got seat belts, big deal. Another person posted up their sparco's yet those belts were not bashed because people don't have mixed views because they are not over priced. I'll say it again, you don't know me. How I act on this forum is not how I really am. I **** around alot and really you can't tell how I am reacting by the way I type because the whole time I have this huge smile on my face, no lie...

Regardless, it's over bro. Takata's or not my car is still a normal subaru that is street driven on a daily basis, it's nothing more than that and I for one will never claim it to be anything special. It's all the hype I get which starts the negative related info and ultimately it's redirected back toward me. I posted pics of the new paint/parts because people asked why I have not done so and now have referred to it as the "mystery machine" because it hasn't been seen in months.

To answer anyone elses questions. NO, MY CAR ISN'T DONE AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHEN IT WILL BE. I will find out almost as soon as you will.

When you split up half of my posts with different responses it's easy to pick them apart. You quoted things and took out the original context, of course it's going to sound bad. Most of those quotes were too my friends on here and said as jokes, but ill let you think that you were right...

#1 was a joke saying it was a must to have takata's. No your right, I don't need them.

#2 was directed toward Fred which I was joking about because he did actually buckle up in his at the meet. I can see why he would want to, I sold him my steering wheel which doesn't have an air bag.

#3 was directed toward Jon (chaos311clarity) which is an on going inside joke because he has some really sick genome guages and what not, basically it's about him liking jdm things as much as I do.

#4 was said in the mist of a fight with another member who I didn't know. Now, we have both talked and bull****ted for a while. Everything is cool with that....

Soo...basically don't come on here saying things you know nothing about. Kinda sucks that ever our tst vendor's are being assholes, never woulda expected that. But I won't lie. What you did took time and alot of creativity, so your OK in my book.

And in responce to your attack about my car. Yeah its pretty much stock, so what? I'm was in college all of 05 and half of this year and i just graduated. I had to sell my crx because I needed the money since going to school full time only allowed me to work 20 hours a week. So sometimes you have to get rid of the things you love.

BTW you have no ****ing clue whats in my garage on the engine stand and whats getting done to it or what its going into, now do you?

I gotcha. Dude, I am far from ****y, for real. If anything I always talk my car down, not up. If I post bull****, jokes, or **** around it's just to be amusing sometimes. As you can see, im never serious on this site because to me it's just a huge hang out thing and I don't find it serious. Not a big deal. Anyways, I started the thread about me buying these seatbelts as an inside joke because everyone including my self feels they are overpriced and a stupid buy. Then things turned into something it shouldn't have, I said some things that were negative, and some reacted. I came back every time and tried to keep it to just myself, but you know it never stays like that on a forum. oh well....

I'm not mad at all, I just don't like when people give their views in a negative way, that's all. If you ever meet me you will see I am super funny and like to mess around, I rarely would ever find my self talking down to someone or making fun of their possesions because I know what goes into building a car. Granite, im young and this is only my second car that I have built but stuck up is not the way I would like to be viewed. I'm kinda glad this thread did happen because it's somewhat of a wake up call. I should expect negative comments and feedback because this site is big with many people, and for the most part im on it alot at work so I tend to be in the spotlight from the posts I write. That's all, I guess. lol
