BTW, is anyone going to the auto show this week? ill be there on sunday and a supra that i did a **** ton of sheet metal on will be there on the floor so ill be bringing my gear for sure.

Yeah I got tickets every year when I worked at a dealership, but this year I forgot to ask my buddy until it was too late and they were all given away.

If you run a website or blog, you can apply for media passes. They have an online process and it is simple to get through. The Philly car show wants as much exposure as they possibly can get. So they are usually pretty friendly and open to new avenues of exposure.

NYC autoshow on the other hand is a bit more difficult although you still can get passes. I've gotten em 2 years in a row.

media pass seems pointless. since almost all areas are open. I see no real advantage besides the exotics. even then. idk, its just not for me.

I think you can go to the black tie event with a media pass? Something normal folk cant do...

i just wanted it more to cover certain cars for a shop that i deal with that were there without having thirty people up my ass and walking in front of me. i thought the show was pretty lame this year. i havent been there in years and i was reminded why today. but it was great having a car there who had a bunch of my work on it and i enjoyed the exposure...no pun intended. plus the owner of Pro Efi wants some of the shots of the car with his advertising on it for some banners and advertising...i fully intend on getting a discount on an EMS in exchange for my photos!!!

Messing around in the thick fog we had a little bit ago. 3 different exposure photos, merged and then tone mapped. Imported into CS6 and edited from there. Nothing to crazy, quick group of photos really.
