Anyway. I just wanted to man up and apologize for what I did. I was a complete @$$hole. I talked to John today, and told him I was WAY out of line. He and you guys had every right to be mad at me, and what I did/said. Truth be told, I feel really bad about it; as I should. Again man, im sorry for what I said. Just uncalled for, and plain out wrong.

JM where you find that pic? I <3 that car but the mans photobuckets been down. His brother used to have a white coupe with that suspension / wheel setup. he used to have a post on honda tech. The 16 x 8 0 offset with i think 195's. As far at suspension stock struts with springs and "custom" Strut mounts.

Edit: I dont think el peo is worthy of that trip yet lol.

Not always.

There seems to be some sort of mindset among the people in this thread that slammed cars handle like crap. While this is usually true, there are some cars that meet the average person's definition of slammed that handle well.

Take for example Vinny's car, (My apologies if you'd rather not have been used as an example) it would be considered slammed by most people's definition (Not to 240 guys though, you need more low!) and it handles extremely well, in my opinion. I've seen some of the turns he's taken and I've never been able to keep up with him in the twisty's, in any of the cars I've owned or driven.

Or, you have John Trace's 350z. It's slammed to hell, and I've driven it when he's had both 19" and 18" wheels on it and it handles really, really well. I've never experienced any snap oversteer or any understeer while driving his car. The ride is a bit rough though and you do hear every bump in the road, but it's a race car.... LOL.

Now, what do both of these cars have in common? A semi-proper to proper suspension set up. They didn't just drop their cars on cut springs or anything dumb like that, they have full Coilover systems that have adjustable dampening (To some of the more well informed parties in the room *cough* Ciotti *cough* coilovers don't mean a thing as many of the ones people use these days are junk and when put on a shock dyno they won't match up at equivalent dampening settings but, for arguments sake we'll ignore low end coilovers as neither of these cars have them), as well as after market suspension arms which allows them to re-align their car back to sane settings in addition to proper tie rods and bushings (John has these, I don't know what tie rods Vinny has...)to eliminate some of the side effects of being slammed (Bump Steer).

So Back to the Matter at hand.

Slammed Cars != Epic Fail. Or at least not always...

its funny how people are just into the vip look now my theory is its cool but in reality a car is what it is i mean it can go so far but by the end of the day that dudes still driving a whooptie ass neon. The reason kawi is the man is because his neon is fast as hell. If that slammed neon is as fast as kawis and i doubt that it would be kinda cool. other than that its just not somthin im into cause i would still never be interested in that car or even notice it driving on the road
