the 262 v6 aka Vortec 4.3 is basically a slightly modified lt1 - 2 cylinder banks. the connecting rods are a little beefier on the crankshaft journals, but the pistons are shared. thats one of the many reasons why its relatively easy(compared to other motor swaps) to swap the modern or older 350 small blocks into the s-series pickups.

how much u tryin to get? my 4.3 has 170,xxx miles on it. still runnin strong, but its not gonna run forever if u know what i mean.

Here's my for sale thread I tore it apart and found the cylinder walls where rusty and one was pitted so it needs to be bore out. Besides that pretty good block and heads.

i have too many projects to work on rite now lol. i have 2 OTHER s10s besides my dd(blazer x), and my old dd(bone stock dark green 98 S10 xcab) which is for sale btw. i used to take my green s10 to the best buy meets back in 08, and like the 1st half of 09. i have a Red 97 Stepside standard cab with a v6/5 speed but a valve knock, and a totalled white 02 s10 xtreme xcab with a v6 and 52,xxx miles that got hammered in the drivers side where the 3rd door meets the bed. im gonna swap the 02 v6 into the 97, swap the whole zq8 suspension(xtreme) into the 97, and possibly swap the whole front clip. but i need more time in the day to do it all. itll be sick when its done, but i highly doubt any works gonna get done til at least mid november. there just sitting at my buddys body shop in mantua right now. and there prob gonna stay there til 2010

05 maxima- Nismo CAI, NWP Spacer kit (upper + lower intake manifold, throttle body, elbow), NWP VIAS block plate, timing advanced 2 degrees, racingline fstb, altima nismo sway bars f+r, racingline endlinks, racingline motor mount inserts, electric cut out, ported lower intake manifold, progress springs, kyb gr-2 shocks/struts, apexi safc-2

future mods: cattman headers, racingline y-pipe, tune, just maybe just maybe turn the vq35de into a vq35hr (rev-up cams, sleeves, springs, retainers) then look for a 240 to mess around with
