you say that untill 9 psi is boring. Then 12 psi is awesome fast for 3 months, then boring. Then 14 psi is sweet for 3 months.. then boring. Trust me there is no such thing as too much power. I want a supercharged LS swap bad, I start drooling about the mayham that would cause. I strive for insane power.

I agree with you and am the same way. I want an lsx miata or rx7 or 240 really bad. Imagining it is crazy to me, but at same time i understand what cleanneon is thinking. There is no point to go overboard with an MSM but at the same time i don't see the reason not to do all of the SAFE basic bolt-ons, have it running a good tune, good suspension and brakes and have a blast with it in the mid 200whp range.

this is amazing looking.

I passed the point of spending too much money a while ago. you just gotta swallow the pill or find a way to get what you want. You say because it's your DD, you cant do it.. Sure you can, gotta find a way.

I have a second truck and I never drive it.

Like rice said, there is no point tearing apart a rare car. If I do anything big, it won't be to this Miata, it will always be a stock motor stock turbo because it's a pretty rare and special car, why would I tear it apart and take that away. All I really want now is tires in the spring and maybe other bits down the line but I am not shooting for big power or anything with this car. I don't think more is better, and I am happy with how the car sits now even though I know I can have more, I just don't NEED it.

Current power:
http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...0-c96f9857c89f

Not my video, but he has pretty much the same mods and boost level, and he also has some compressor surge haha.

I just don't see a point in ripping the car apart. It's special as far as Miatas go, if I ever wanted a v8 one or something, I would buy another. Big power in a little car like this just makes things messy. Can be fun, but only in a straight line, otherwise you have to wrestle with the car in corners.

(this is not meant to start a fight..so relax) I dont think your thinking clearly. Just because its a "rare" miata, doesnt mean you shouldn't mod it. A lot of things you planned on doing, aren't hacking the car up at all. They are making it BETTER to drive. A rollbar. Not only does this make the car handle better, and feel tighter..its also a huge safety bonus. See video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=croBCxHmQUc&NR=1
These cars get tossed like power wheels when they are hit. A rollbar is going to REALLY help you out.
You said new tires, and that is a good idea. That will make your car more enjoyable to toss into turns. But I dont see why you would not upgrade your wheels. A nice set of 16s will be lighter, improve your 0-60 time and help you run a slightly wider tire.
A racing seat, I see as pointless in your car..so I think your right about not doing that. But why stop modding your car, because you dont like some people/ideas/cars in the scene? I can speak for a lot of people when I say..I dont mod my car for you or anyone else to think its cool. I mod my car because I love cars, I love wrenching on cars and I love installing a part myself and then taking the car out to test it. Pushing it to its limits...and watching the car become better and better. Modding an MSM doesnt mean you have to be a fcking ricer. There are TONS of clean mods for the Miata, that just make it a better car. In the end, its your car and your money. But I think saying "i dont like the scene anymore" is a copout for "i dont want to spend the $$" or "Im really not as interested in cars as I lead everyone to believe I was"

What I meant I guess was that I don't want it high power or anything, I am happy with the car for now, when I want more power I'll add more, etc. but for the time being its fine.

ok..So whats the logic behind that? You dont want to mod a rare car...but you want to take it to a track and beat the sh^t out of it? And dont try to defend it, and say Auto-X isnt hard on a car. It is. I just dont see how it makes sence.

I dont think so. How is adding a rollbar to a car, worse for the car then taking it to a track and beating on it?

I didn't say anything about a rollbar. I meant stuff like a bigger turbo, forged internals, etc.etc. I don't see a point in modding this particular car in that way.

Ok. So your not done modding your car; your just not interested in doing LARGE improvements like upgraded turbo blah blah. That makes more sence. The way your originally worded it, it seemed like your completely done with the car.

clean, im not trying to be an ass, but the MSM is never going to be a rare lusted for car. Its bacially the same as a regular miata from that year, just with a turbo strapped to the side and a crinkle red valve cover (some say mazda did something to the ring&pinion diff gears to make them stronger but whatever).

So just do some **** to the car already, with 46 pages of posts in your membor journal, the car should have a freakin gt3071R hanging off of it pushing 25 psi.
