i actually really like watching drift events on TV. Sometimes comcast sports net has them on late, which is weird and usually completly random
the viper drift car is what got me into dodges

Owner Unknown, more than likely swapped, wheels are worth more than most DSM's. More than likely actually drifted, because of cage.

I'm not entirely sure if this was an attempt to troll, but each of these cars probably has at least 10k into it and is built to drift.

If you're going to go with HellaFlushCaniBeat crap talking, post vehicles to back up your argument.

If your attempt was not to troll, please excuse me.

I think I have concluded that 240s are the new civic from this thread alone. Do not want.

Love 240s done up right but I'll have to agree with the guy above me^^. To put in nicer terms so nobody gets but hurt, 240s are really becoming the new civic....BUT if fully built and done right they are awesome and I forget all about them being the new civic lol

240sx's will never become the new civic.

There aren't enough of them left.

there are terrible/cheaply done versions of every car. 240s just kind of exploded around here so i guess its a prod to people who dont own them. Also the biggest tool bags you know that own a certain type of car create personal stereotypes, it could all be in the people we meet. note.. within the group people may not think 240s are the new civic, but @ meets i hear it ALLLLLL the time.

what happened to formula D?

opinion on an aspect of the cars. the fact theyre probably used is awesome, problem is i hate body kits. body kits i despise usually have these skirts (fake lips because its all one piece) that have this huge, long bend that pretrudes on an oposite angle then the rest of the car. IMO that looks like dog ****
like this...

Hmm never thought of that. I still love 240s though. Must suck to own one cause there's so much hate towards them lol. At least you're not put in the category of Ken Block/DC.....lol

I don't care if those cars were "built to drift", they still look like aborted fetuses.

How much money does it take to make a Mustang turn?

I rest my case.

this is why 240s are the new civic.

The wheels on the civic easily cost more than your average DSM. Being that the average price of a running DSM is between 1500-3000 dollars. The amount of work that civic has done to it easily costs more than a piece of **** DSM takes to build to make a 500-600hp car

So expensive wheels that look like they belong on trucks and people that brag about how awesome they look on 240s cars = the new civic to me. Because you know all those honda tampon owners get their dicks hard over some 24 inch rims on their honda. Like: "ThAtS sIcKyO"

I dont know if its just the mitsubishi guy in me, but I just cant put the fast car and "body kit + big chrome rims" together and actually like the car. Maybe because of how I mod my cars and how I am used to seeing fast DSMs and 3000GTs all rockin stock ass bodies and crazy sick engine/trans mods.

I know ford guys are cut from the same mold as Mitsubishi guys, if it doesnt make your car fast it just gets skipped.

eh that civic is a bit much. thats a show car (if you could even call it that) the big thing with hondas is being JDMrad and that all started around when i got into it (roughly 8 years ago). basically with hondas oem/oem performance division rarity is the focus, and even tho they dont perform as well as their cheaper counterparts thats how you get rep. i wouldnt put the drift thing in the same boat besides the fact that its getting really popular and the trend is bleeding off onto other brands. drifting is about being judged on style so i can kinda see why the cars are being molded as they are to grab more attention.
