like that car. never was a fan of the screws going around wheels tho unless theyre mickeys, but this is definatly an excemption.

btw went to a meet last night on berlin x keys road. turzos vette is back on the road and MY GOD does that thing sound mean. i swear his cam is so agressive it would, at times, sound like an rx-7 with a bridge port. good meet tho... nice cars, no rice, no obnoxious kids, girls in yoga pants, cops that rolled through and didnt care. ftw imo.

Being a "sports car" doesn't really matter. I thought the same thing when I was shopping around, but power numbers/sportiness don't really factor into the price. What factors in is driver data + the history of the car in question, or the age of the demographic buying them.

I say this, because my quote for a 2008 C6 Vette was a tad lower than my 370. When I asked why, it was explained to me that the average age of the car drives the price down. The same thing for the 370 -- the projected average owner age was higher than the 350, or something. The more you know!

edit: for the curious, the most expensive was the 135i, followed by the Camaro. The STi was a tad more expensive than the Evo, and the 370 was under that.

edit2: because I like writing a lot of words, what's your interior look like? i actually love the 370's interior, because I'm a small dude (5'6 115lbs), and every other car on the market feels like it was built for huge people.
That suprising, but I guess if your insurance takes into account the average driver's age before the styling of the car that I can see it. Everyone I know got their sti insurance very cheap. I know my insurance is decent due to my record, but my provider unfortunately has age as their biggest factor so I get slightly screwed.

I will try and take some pictures but it's sweet. The seat reminds me of a smaller version of the Nismo seat I have. The interior is just classy the way the clock and headunit are all setup. It's all simple and clean, but it has all the bells and whistles. I love Nissan, and would take a 370 nismo over the sti, but the interior of Subaru's is something I love. I have to agree most cars are built for bigger people. The camaro ss for example, beautiful interior but everything is more bulky than need be.

have you ever been to a sub vs evo shootout or legit autox event? they dont fare well in their classes.

and i dont include swapped RS subarus in that theyre dirty, but home grown. i also dont hate these cars @ all, its just not as crazy as you made it to state that theyre slow.

Although 1/4 mile isn't the only way to say if a car is "fast" or not. 1/4 mile is a very accurate representation of horsepower/accelaration (not to mention it is the most universal test of fast, a car that goes 10s at one track will probably go 10s at another 1/4 mile track all over the world. A car that does 40 seconds at an autocross, rally, englishtown road course event doesn't represent any tangible numbers, since all road courses/autocross tracks change through out the world and different events.

I don't think anybody in this thread can argue the fact that the more horsepower you have in an AWD platform the faster the car will be in all disciplines of "fast" (1/4 mile, autocross, road coarse, rally, etc)

Good drivers make cars faster in events where turns are involved. That's why the Ring is hailed so heavily.

I could care less about quarter mile times. Not being sarcastic either. 4G63 is light years better than the ej25 or whatever they call it that explodes all the time and hardly makes any power. The evo is a better platform for proper racing (turns) as well If you want a Subaru because you like them, that's fine. I like my Mustang even though it's inferior to a Chevy.
