Sorry but i gotta ask from a subaru stand point... How much do you have into modding this car & payments and how much more would it have taken to get a ppg trans for the rex?

He's paying about $150 less a month for this, plus less on insurance. And has hardly put any money into it. The trans from Andrewtech was $5k and a several month wait.

Being responsible sucks sometimes, but we all have to do it at some point in our lives.

Wheels, tires, springs, tint, and exhaust...

I'd say he has maybe, 900 into it, give or take a few bucks.

Parts for these cars are pretty cheap.

like susie said, my payments are close to $200 a month cheaper, car insurance dropped close to $200 a month and I fill this thing up 1 time a week if I went far and most times every 2 and half weeks at about $21 a tank vs. filling up about every week on normal driving for about $35 a tank. This car saves me money it really does. But I still cannot stress enough the fact that this car is NOT the replacement for my Subaru. Its just the car in between the Subaru and whats next. Basically I'm just taking time off, but in the meantime I am going to have fun with this little guy because its all I have.

Parts breakdown, I got nothing to be ashamed of:
$54 K&N drop in
$477 TRD Axleback exhaust
$200 TEIN S-tech lowering springs
$494 15x7.5 +32 Konig Retrack
$286 205/50/15 Toyo Proxes4
$100 SOG tint
$500 15x6.5 Super Advan SA3R(sold and bought the Konigs)
So that pretty much sums it up. Possibly more than I should have spent but...... It doesnt come close to the 5k for a built trans or the 5 month waiting period that I was quoted. I wasn't about to plop another stock trans in there since I cant seem to make them last long. You have to take into consideration that my car was running a damn near perfect setup. 21psi on a EVOIII, 565cc, all SPT parts and a flawless tune. From 2900-7500 that car could ****ing scream. Easily a mid 11second car. Which is about where the line is drawn for a stock 5speed. I did everything I could to save that trans including sacrificing power at the cost of stock clutches and flywheels. Whats done is done now though..

Well, heres a little update since I havent in a while.

Mods:
205/50/R15 Toyo Proxes4
Konig ReTrack 15x7.5 +32
5mm Spacers (effective +27)
TEIN S-Tech lowering springs
Tails tinted by SOG
30% all around by SOG
DRLs deleted
K&N Drop in panel filter
TRD High flow performance Muffler
Subaru 5mt leather shift knob

This all amounts to getting my ass handed to me by Susie's stock Legacy lol. Seriously a car length easy.

None yet for both questions.

I would like to next year possibly pick up an MRS so I can reuse the wheels on this car and start a much more aggressive project.
