I didn't even get home until almost 1. I stayed and helped clean up with a few people. So many Rockstar cans everywhere. Then hung out and was bull****ting for a bit. Found out BT is a traitor because he won't let me ride with him to StreetWars. Whatev.

Just got this chainmail from my brother-in-law's dad. (How he got my email, I don't know.)

A man was lying in bed with his new girlfriend.
After having great sex ... She spent the next
hour just rubbing his testicles ...
Something she just loved to do.
As he was enjoying it, he turned and asked her,
"Why do you love doing that?"
Because ... She Replied ....
"I Really Miss Mine"

There were a lot of people that wouldn't chill out with trying to get through. They would literally try to plow you over.

Make-A-Wish would prefer a single large easy check vs. hundreds (or thousands) of small individual donations, and that is what we are doing for them. The donations are coming through me, being tracked, and donated in full to Make-A-Wish. I can't wait to be able to get up a grand total that we raised, hand it over to Make-A-Wish, and know that as a community we helped bring a child his dream. Thats really something worthwhile, and its awesome that we're able to do that as a community of enthusiasts and local businesses.

100% of proceeds are being donated to Make-A-Wish!

100% of proceeds are being donated to Make-A-Wish!

Beyond that, TST is DONATING 25% of any merchandise sales at the event to Make-A-Wish.
(Sonic is also donating 10% of all sales from 12-5pm on the day of the event... so awesome of them. Thanks Sonic!)

We have worked hard to put this together this year because we wanted to do something good for the community. Its just shocking to me that anyone would assume the worst regarding a charity event instead of either giving us the benefit of the doubt, or simply asking for clarification.

So... if anyone else has any questions or concerns then please get in touch. I guess in this day and age its hard to believe that anyone would work so hard on something thats entirely for charity? Well, here's an opportunity to change that way of thinking...
Bryan,

Your last paragraph sums it up pretty well....

I've just heard stories about other car events. I assume the worst because well.. That's just me ;) I'm glad to see that 100% of proceeds is going to make a wish because I heard about some other car commercialized meets I won't name who pocketed a lot of the cash. But it's really good to hear that this is on the up and up. Hope everything works out!

And I do know of other meets that are 'for charity' but pocket at least half of the admission fee in a very misleading way... thats low.

Anyway, The Sonic Meet has always been an awesome event that everyone looks forward to each spring and it seemed natural to utilize such a huge event to do something good for the community. I'm prepared to be totally open with the finances of the meet and announce a total donated shortly after the event... because I'm damn proud of how much we've raised so far and there's plenty more to come .

I have requested that below the Paypal button, the following text be added: 100% of proceeds are being donated to Make-A-Wish!
To be fair too the main image on the front page did say all proceeds going to make a wish. I just didn't see that.
