This is seriously my favorite evo on here and possibly the nicest evo around. Once that exhaust gets chopped it will be perfect in my mind. Can't wait to see what else happens to this car in the future.

well thanks for the kind words, I still feel like there are things I could do to make it nicer. I look for your car at the rink but forget you had sold it.

So just a little update on what's left on my list of ish to do:

- Next week I am taking the car to R/T Tuning so they can lower it some more and realign it. It has bad bump steer and is off center. They are also going to install my NRG Quick Release ad hub along with my KEY!S Racing Wheel. I figured they might as well do it while realigning it.

- After that I am taking the car to GV for Chris to take care of the exhaust. It's just getting the tip cut off and I would like it to be a straight cut as opposed to the slanted cut it has now.

- I have a scrape on my passenger side skirt that I will get fixed. Some dingus didn't give me enough room to take a turn and I kissed a curb with my skirt:big eek:

- After that get's done and ready to be washed and waxed I am taking the car to get a full detail done. It needs one desperately and I really want one anyway.

- Then First Class Fitment will roll around and hopefully I'll be able to get into the show. After that, the car will take a garage seat for awhile and I'll start on the engine

All of this of course planning on nothing wrong happening between now and then

Not yet because I am not fitted. I would but I want to wait until Wednesday after R/T gets their hands on the car.

Today I finished up a few more touches of the interior, I got to paint the visors black. They came out a little glossy for being flat black paint but they still look good

I just have to find out how to paint these. I'm a little hesitant taking apart the seat belt being it an important safety issue. I'll have to take a look at it to see how it's taken apart

The big day tomorrow, I'm really excited for it. I'm taking the car early and R/T is going to throw on the new steering wheel and quick release for me while they are taking care of the rest of the car. After tomorrow, the interior will officially be done and the car will be fairly complete for right now.

So things didn't go as smoothly as hoped. The coilover on the front driver side is bent. It was from my accident. So I am getting it replaced and R/T will take another shot at it. But the back was dropped more and all the rubbing is fixed. Thanks to the guys there for going the extra mile and checking to make sure there wasn't any rubbing.

Before

AFTER

I think a small spacer will do it for the fronts. But I'll wait to see what happens after round 2 of alignment tuning

Only STi's get away with the wingless IMO.

Car's looking good still, glad to see you give it so much attention.

I agree, and I thought the duckbill would take care of that. I think it only works well on the Evo X's. I LOVE the bill look on those trunks. I just think it flows better with the X, rather than the 8/9's.

But thanks for the compliments. Ever since I got a beater I have a much better appreciation for the car now. I look forward to taking it out more now because it's more enjoyable when you drive it only so often.

Thanks for coming in Mickey. We'll get everything finalized with you next visit. We have some 3mm spacers here that should give you just a little more up front.

Hopefully that'll do it, I can't wait to get back there for a second go. I still want to drop the rear more, but I'll have to hold off until I get that new coilover.

I took some pics today, I was hoping the rain would have held off a little bit but I really wanted to shoot.

I had the same shield on my Talon with a vented hood; looked great and kept it's finish very well.
