We have a rain date and plan to use it if the weather looks iffy. We really want to make this happen on the original date but if the weather is wet, the event will be pushed back to the rain date. I don't want any confusion there since it turned into a mess last year.

And there's no drama... just friends, good times, and badass cars

you should plan a time this year that the final call will be made for.... i knwo that created a lot of confusion last year... everyone saying "when are we gonna know when its canceled or not blah blah blah"

Yeah I was thinking about that... what do you guys think? We could say if rain is in the forecast 24 hours in advance, we'll just push it back, or do something like calling it by 8pm the night before. Whatever works best for everyone but we should decide that...

On one hand you could make a call by the early morning and just put it in the thread title. Cause you know weather predictions are pretty sketchy sometimes, it could be calling for a storm and you wake up and it ends up being sunny all day without a cloud in the sky.

On the other hand, if you do that, then everyone who is cross-posting to other forums has to be relied on to relay the message if it's canceled.

I guess the night before works.
