So the union pushed their weight to get nearly unfair low rates on healthcare / perscriptions, pay raises, and a pension increase in a time when most companies are lowering all of these, and cancelling pension plans?

So you can't see the rest of it, then?

What YOU need to realize is that SEPTA has more money than you're being led to believe.

I am not saying that eliminating vacation is a good thing, but the union won that too.

Understand what? I've never gone on strike, with my company. We have good benifits because we produce and we constantly make them money. We don't cry if we can't get an extra day off every year.

Elaborate on your given days off and your points system for calling out sick.

I don't have a point system here, but I did at a previous job at Sears Automotive(Yeah that s**t sucks). BUt I also never call out sick, I have 2 weeks vac, 5 sick days (carry over as many as you want), 2 or 3 personal days.

Points system here sucks worse, believe me. I worked for Sears.

Overall, not many on this forum will understand anything unless they actually work for SEPTA or do some sort of research.
