I got to take it through my country road test course tonight...I matched my full-suspension STi all over the place with a lot less drama with the steering wheel and a lot more comfort. The Evo is just so smooth and ****ing fast in the turns. It reacts perfectly to my inputs and just keeps asking for more power and to go faster mid turn, haha. I'm in complete amazement that a stock Evo X could compete/beat my T2-equipped STi. I really do think its faster in the turns by a good margin!
Wow, thats crazy.

It's gotta be the tires. STi had more roll stiffness at high-speed, but lacked the grip of these Advans. The shocker is that the stock Evo doesn't lack roll stiffness in its own right, which is incredibly impressive considering it basically comes with R compounds on the damn thing, haha.

I got to watch the S-AWC monitor last night too...so ****ing amazing. haha

Thank you very much. I parked it outside brew works last night and did the usual look back on my way in. I still can't believe this car is actually mine.

Oh...Thanks to Perrin's Memorial Day Sale, I've ordered their air filter drop in and turbo inlet hose. I know..power mods..can you believe it? haha. Should be good for 15-20whp or so, but I'm more curious about the gas mileage improvement, if any.

Not for these mods, but I do want to stop by so he can take a look at the car

These mods I can do in my garage in a few minutes, the inlet hose is nothing like the terror it is on the Subaru. Ryan would get the clutch upgrade, FMIC type stuff since I know he'd do it right

I know exactly what you mean. I just did mild power mods on my car since it was my daily. Mild cams, no idle jumping. FP turbo to keep spool time but bump the power. Now I'm just adding little things so it will be comfortable to daily drive such as the bushings. Once I pay it off then it can be caged and set loose. But enough about my car. It's quite impressive that mitsu managed to keep the go-kart feel of the car despite adding 300lbs in luxury. Enjoy.

I love that trunk. The fenders on these cars can fit some rubber.

I do like that trunk a lot..plus it has the Ralli-Art rear tails which are nicer too. Can't imagine the cost of all that.

Very nice build that you have too! That's pretty much the way I'd like to go eventually with mine, but I really like having a stock car that I can let a dealership fix for free too.

Don't get me wrong, you can definitely feel the weight of the car in the tighter turns, but the grip levels are so damn high it doesn't matter, you just keep pushing it harder.

thank you

Car seems to be pretty reliable so far from the forum posts. Keep in mind they came in out in 08, so there has been some time with them to find anything serious.

So I was pumping gas today and an older guy came up to me to tell me how nice the car looked. That would make the 4th person so far to say something positive out of the blue about the Evo. People really seem to like how it looks.
