heads need to be cracked... i said it previously in this thread... officer's need to be feared and respected in philly... i want a billy club coming out on anyone that gets in an officer's face, i want people locked up for talking trash to cops.

my uncle is a cop in abington... they get philly crime coming in all the time... and in the bad areas of abington... which aren't all that bad, but bad enough, no one messes with him... it is a mixture of fear and respect. They pushed, he pushed back... its the only thing these people understand.

In the land of "politically correct" and sue happy assholes... a cop can't do anything without feeling any kind of pressure... right or wrong you guys get **** on... "why didn't he do this" "he should have done that" "he went to far" "where were the cops?"

people have realized that they can complain the second a cop lays a hand on them, even if they deserved it. Its only a matter of time before the police themselves crack under all this and begin taking steps...

your lives are more important than that trash out there, take care of yourselves...

I say to all those who blame or criticize the the police.....put on that badge...put on that gun and go out there and do what we do. Then and only then will you see what we see day in and day out. It's easy to sit back and play backseat driver to what we as police officers should and shouldn't do. We are the last line of defense for your (animals)communities. You're not out there protecting your communities..WE ARE. We're chasing after an aminal who just killed another animal over drugs. **** that! And if we do catch them...try knocking on doors to get a witness..NOT GONNA HAPPEN. They see nothing. 15 gun shots go off in front of your house, people screaming ,and you didn't see anything??? But if your neighbor's tv is too loud then let's call the police 10 times. These animals live in these hell holes because they choose to. I'm not throwing trash all over my street. I'm not selling or allowing drugs to be sold on my street. I know where my kids are at all times. And God have mercy on their souls if I found out they were disrespectful to any adult. They will wish they lived on another planet after I'm done. And here's the kicker..I PAY TAXES TOO. it comes right out of my paycheck. I'm being taxed to chase after animals and get shot at!!! But hey, someone has to have the balls to do it.

If you are willing to go after a police officer then whats to stop them IN THEIR MINDS from going after..women..children..the elderly.......Someone like that is a very very dangerous person.
I think what he was stating, and what I was agreeing with, is that only in a cold blooded murder, the killer should be put to death. If you kill an LEO, you get the death penalty. If you kill joe schmoe, you get the death penalty. That sort of comparison. It doesn't matter who they kill, but the simple fact that they did murder someone in cold blood should mean that their life is taken as well. The philly officer did not commit a cold blooded murder by any means, not even close. That phrase shouldn't even be in the same sentence.. The POS that shot and murdered him did.

Are people actually criticizing the PD for what happened?!?!?!?!

This is really for a different thread, but training, or lack there of, is a serious issue with PD's around the country. Not only training, but lack of knowledge on the very law that they are sworn to uphold. And lastly, they usually are NOT held properly accountable for their own actions, until farther steps are taken.

BTW, I have a couple of childhood friends that are currently cops, and one of my closest family friends is Lieutenant of one of the PD's. I've had nothing but great interactions with police, even when I was the one who clearly screwed up. Treat them with respect, and thank them for their duty whenever you get the chance.

I agree. I've had nothing but fantastic interactions with police... it might be because I respect them. They're doing a job, whether i screwed up or not... i can respect that. If they're wrong i expect them to be fine with that... some cops just aren't... those are the ones you've got to worry about and the ones that give officer's a bad wrap. But I also think a portion of that is due to what you said, as well as due to the lack of respect they generally get for doing their job.

however, i do love shooting down police choppers in GTA4
