Not to be a Debbie Downer but one more thing to worry about it some bumb cutting your top to look for loose change. An alarm/garage and full coverage will wipe those worries away.
Mine was sliced within 3 days by vandals. Doors were still locked. Parked overnight on the street.

If you get a car cover go with one from California.

http://www.calcarcover.com

I cheaped out twice when buying a car cover. The first one (OEM) was almost paper thin and got eaten by animals. The second was like a large, blue trash bag on my car. I have the California one now, and it is great. You'll pay more for the proper cover to protect your car year round, but it will be a good investment.

Thanks man, and in time I definately will.

First thing is first, I want to drain all of the fluids and put new ones in, the best stuff. then i want to over all of the bushings, gaskets, make sure everything is tightened down right, detail..basically i want to spend a week or 2 doing a big tuneup and making the car as new as possible.

Im thinking of mobil or amsol (sp) motor oil, motul trans and diff, and im not sure what there is for brakes and steering and clutch

I don't see a reason to start going after bushings and gaskets and **** on a low-mileage MSM.

I can see the fluids, when you're ready to push it...bur for now why don't you just leave well enough alone and get used to the car first (I assume its your first boosted car, as well as first RWD car)?

Well just one small reason would be you can't slice a hard top with a boxcutter. Second it's removable so yeah it's still a convertible. Just price how much it is to replace one of those tops and you might consider throwing a hard top on when it's parked on the street.

Why would that be obvious? Some people do have these weird and magical things next to their homes they call "Garages" these "Garages" happen to be large enough to hold a motorized vehicle, even one as large as a Miata. Maybe the previous owner had a "Garage" to put the car in. On a sidenote don't get sarcastic with me I was just saying it would be a smart move, if you can't afford one or feel otherwise that's fine.

Noone was getting sarcastic. Its evident because when you put the top down there are twigs and leaves in the body of the car that I have to vaccum out.

Do you think one winter season will do it any harm?? After I transfer to temple, I wont be driving the car on snowy or messy days, even when road salt is around. I still have one year at community college.
