Correct, but the officer did have an attitude and the driver could've been nicer. This is why I stated it's dual fault here. One attitude fed the other. Like I've said.. be nice, even if they aren't unless you want to feel it in your bank account.

**** that bull****, First thing first "innocent till proven guilty" he had no reason to even accuse ****. Its the fact that middletown police think they are super troopers without bounds. They are gonna have one slip up, and they are ****ED and i cant wait till it happens. I was pulled over 3 times in one week by these jerkoff's.

wow thats wrong. I got pulled over yesterday too and the cop was totally understanding. I was basically coasting down a hill and managed to hit 52 in a 35 and as soon as i drove by him i saw him pull out so i turned off to a side street and then into a development and waited for him..when he came up to the car and asked if i tried to run i just told him i wanted to pull over somewhere where i wouldnt cause traffic...from then on he was pretty decent to me and explained what to do and so forth...just shows how some cops are good and some are dicks. definately file a complaint though that **** aint right

I agree that it's bull**** what they did (both parties involved here), but what happened happened. FILE COMPLAINTS! Write a letter to the chief to have it in investigated. Contact the damn News Media if you think **** is going on. Don't just get pissed at it and say there's nothing you can do. You can always do something about it. Nothing will change if nothing is done.

I totally agree with you. I had a cop try something like that with me, but I had his number. He started getting loud with me, so I got loud with him. We both knew I was right, but he tried to pull one over on me. I told him to suck my dick and he didn't like that too much. once he found out my dad was in IAB, he backed off REAL fast and left the scene. I put a report in to IAB and they followed him around for a while. They found that he was spending most of his day harrassing kids. If a cop tries anything with me, I'll get right in his face. he is absolutely not allowed to search a car without probable cause, therefore he violated your rights and should be punished for it.

I know that cops think they are invincible, but they have people that police them as well. I seriously suggest you file a complaint with the township PD.

i've found that being COMPLETELY humble and respectful in EVERY way gets you out of garbage like this...about a month ago i was in an abandoned parkinglot for about 4 minutes drifting around drunk at like 3am and two cops pulled in...me knowing my age, figued i was beyond screwed...cop asked if i had any alcohol, i admited immediately, he asked if i ever had a dui or underage or anything and i let him know nothing ever other than a couple speeding tickets blew a .08...appologised for everything i could think of and he gave me a public disturbance ticket with maximum fine ($422) but didn't get taken into the station, my car towed and no dui/underage/wreckless driving and possible window tint ticket, modified car nonsense, expired registration...so on and so forth...i'd say be sturn, confident, respectful and things usually go good.

Mike I see you are reading this thread post something!

Anyway, I know its your rights and all this other bull****, if you had nothing to hide why not let him do what he wants? If you felt your rights were voilated take it up some where else, not with the cop who is being resonable in the first place.

forgive my forgetfulness here, but where is middletown round abouts?

i had my share of cop issues back in the day. sounds like the OP ran into some disgruntled cops, but as i got older, i found it's much easier to be nice no matter how pissy they are being to you. you can always fight it later or file a complaint. i remember once in southampton, i got pulled over for speeding and i left with 3 tickets because i felt i knew my rights, lol.

anyways.........

Accusing him of being high, a drug runner, and car thief is considered being reasonable? All he was trying to do was get his phone charger and go back on his merry way to work. There was no need for the cop to pull the **** that he did.

You do realize with comments as moronic as this...you are making all cops looking like ****ing assholes right? Since when does a civilian who is not breaking the law, not have the right to defend his personal space? Whats next... cops driving by my house and want to try and see my wife naked, so they tell me my house looks suspicious so they need to search it? STFU.
It is UNFORTUNATE that cops like this one and you apparently, abuse your badge when you've had a bad day or when you feel like being a bully to the kids that more than likely shoved you in a locker in HS. He wasn't breaking any traffic laws...wasn't driving aimlessly around at 3am...etc..etc.. so where was his probable cause? He didn't get smart with the officer until he realized he was obviously being harrassed.

I've got a pretty good record of siding with the popo, probably 100% (I can't recall an event where I haven't sided with them).

Unless something is missing in this story, which it doesn't seem like anything COULD be missing, that's pretty ****ed up . Whether the cop had a good day, bad day, I don't give a ****, that kind of attitude is uncalled for. We pay for them to do their job, not straight up harass people.

But I do have to ask, does your car smell like marijuana? Perhaps that's why the cop was so interested. I don't know, I might be stretching here.

Your best bet would be to follow what Tiny said and politely ask to have a supervisor present when you are asked if they can search your car.

It's not that the way the officer acted was right, but if you just kept your mouth shut, sucked it up, and acted polite you may have drove away with a bruised ego and some pent up anger (but no tickets).
So because an officers wife won't suck his dick, he has the right to take out his frustration on the people who pay him???????

I don't agree with that. It just sounds like a power tripping cop who needs a foot up his ass.

Go to the ratemycop site and share your experience.

Sorry to go off topic a little, but this is the asshole that was convicted of killing a cop.

All of the people that like to find something to bitch about when it comes to minority rights used this as a stepping stone to be “intellectual” about how the "man" is keeping down the black guy.

Funny thing is that when this trial was going on, none of these "supporters" were present, and if they were, they defiantly didn’t put their money where there mouth is. It was easier to use him as a political martyr then actually do something about it in the first place.

Kind of like the original thread topic. My man is happy being a martyr rather then filing a complaint and seeing justice done, because that would be work.
