lol, I wonder when DC will finally start doing something original. I mean, copying the viper into everything or making the same goddamned car 3 times over gets a bit old, no?

It's not bad, but the Solstice looks better. Performance..we'll see. Everyone says this and that about how expensive it will be..but until I see it, I won't hear it for a second.

If you think it'll be less than 3400 than thats just poor eyesight. I think around there is reasonable..but prolly 3500.

They are trying to keep the weight down, but we'll see..

what do you mean? the fact that 2 vehicles out of about 20 they sell have the viper engine? or the fact that the cars have the crosshair grilles? i'm not really seeing what you mean by "copying the viper". i mean,.. i can think of ONE car on the market blatantly copying the Viper(and always playing catch-up), but I won't mention which one (hint: it's not a DCX product)

..lol.. coming from someone who drives a GM model. at least chrysler actually makes cars with different purposes, as opposed to flat badge engineering. i see the 300 and Charger *kinda* overlapping, but the Challenger and Magnum are radically different, even if they are on the same platform.

if they make it, they should beat Solstice pricing easily. But they probably won't make it.

and looks are subjective.. i happen to think the solstice looks terrible. just slightly better than every other Pontiac on the market.

i realize it's gonna be up there. my point was that Dave said the Challenger was too heavy for him, but he doesn't know how heavy it is, because nobody does.. or at least no one in the public.

therefore saying it's too heavy is a fairly ridiculous statement.

**** man, it was in a magazine i know that much. not motor trend cause i found that one. im thinking automobile maybe? also i believe the weight was for the concept car/ dev mule hopefully the production model will be lighter. all i know is that was one of the things that stopped me saving for it and sent me in an MR direction

lol, badge engineering? The 300C, Charger, Magnum, and now the Challenger are all generally the same bloody vehicle. Different purposes? So giving it a hatch makes it different? it's the same thing! Kinda overlapping...not even close. IS overlapping. And now the 300 is outdated.

lol, me owning a GM model influences me, but opinions opinion. I don't see DC doing anything right.

And the Viper influence..well, the general "grill", the SRT idea..the bloody SRT10 Ram. I dunno..it seems like they are milking it. You don't see the Vette prominently through Chevy's lineup, and you don't see the Mustang for Ford. It seems..weird, I guess.

Oh, and can anyone place this car?

Again, why did they axe this body, and then bring it out years later as a challenger?

Same platform. Hell, even the wheels are almost the same. Why did they come out with that uglyass "300C with a new front clip" version? This one was still 4 doors! And THIS one was totally paying respect to the old car. Look at the styling! God it was beautiful!

The challenger is still sexy though,

The challenger rocks a different platform, so the wheelbase and all characteristics are not going to be the same...unless they **** it up again like last time.

Yea, but isn't it based off of the 300C's platform?

No, it's completely new. Actually, wait, how long was the 300C out?

Cause if I remember correctly, that concept charger was out in 97, and the Challenger shares that platform. It was just never made into production because detroit sucks.

The platform that the Concept Charger (aka: Sex1) and the Challenger (aka: Sex2) share is more oriented towards a car that's sporty, rather than a luxury family sedan with power. So the whole setup is just panned out that way.

Sex1 got murdered. They brought that out, then gave no updates and came out with the new front clip on the 300C and threw it at the crowd. Sex2 hopefully won't get the same treatment.

All the option packages are the same as well...
