I mean, most head units will have a usb stick plugin at this point, but that ties into mp3 storage. streaming will murk your data plan for sure. But it depends what your data plan is like. I listen to 6-8 hours of siriusxm every day at work and hit my 5g cap monthly on the 28th day of the 31 day cycle.

^^ oh that's not bad at all really. I doubt id ever come close to that. quick math thats 68 hours of streaming music since Verizon says an hour is 60mb/hr.

Don't really wanna run it all off my phone, but buying an iPad mini for my car seems stupid

you could... buy a sirius radio receiver and just rock satellite radio in the car.. that's an option

This is true. I assume you could just hook the reciever directly to and amp just like i was thinking for an iPhone. Would need to hide a volume control knob but thats no big deal.

Ideally i want sat radio and an iPhone hookup. If possible, a way to integrate phone charger as well.

Not gonna lie, radio delete airbag delete panels combined with a lower dash delete looks so damn good. Because racecar

Are you just looking to stay with an old school theme for the dash?

Are you sourcing the Alcantera directly from Recaro to match? There's a few companies that stock parts for the seats and that specific cloth is out there,

Mcintosh car audio seems to be made from unobtanium. I can't find their stuff anywhere. Do they even make headunits anymore! Last one i knew of was the mx406( picture you posted) and that was a few grand i think...

Ideally. I dont want it to look out of place, but i want modern tech. I just don't understand why headunits needs to look like Las Vegas. Maybe I'm getting old?

I hadn't thought to source it from them, but good thinking. I was just hoping to get as close to a match as possible. The only parts im looking to do are a new shift book, and the window sills.

Next step is installing the floorboards, pedals and fire extinguisher. Then its a owner dash delete, possibly passenger airbag delete too.

it's all happening so fast, is this what happens when you save BEFORE buying the car or do you just have nice income?

/signed guy that takes way too long to buy car parts for cars.

air cooled cool. 964, and ongoing triumph stuff.

Had the bbs centers test fit yesterday. Looks like they will end up being 16s upsized to 18s with double stepped lips. 18x9 front and 18x11 rear.

Still waiting on parts for the wheels. But in better news, suspension is on. Ended up with bilstien pss10. Also replaced some worn bushings while they were in there. Car was corner balanced and aligned. 2800 lbs with half a tank. Bit of a pig given that its been striped of sound deadening, door cards, stereo, airbags, full oem exhaust... Guess i have more work to do. 2600 seems like a good number to me.
