All strapped down ready to go

After some playing around and figuring out I was running a bigger maf tube then stock Ray from Turbo Tek Tuning locked down the numbers.

vid

Rsti dyno - YouTube

Only thing that sucked was I ran out of adjustment on my boost controller. He left me some wiggle room so when I get the new spring I'll still be able to safely up it 2lbs putting me around the 330whp mark.

Took the thing for a drive after and god damn is this thing pull.

Wow I haven't updated this one in a while. Since the dyno I had a street retune by ray. Went from 20 lbs to 23 lbs. Not really sure on the ricer math but I'd imagine to be in the 330-340whp range. I'll chuck up a quick in car pull.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trA9h...1&feature=plcp

I got/ordered a couple things.

-OEM 22b vents. Yeah that's right.

-kartboy fsb solid endlinks. Finally remembered to buy them after all these years. lol

-kartboy rear subframe bolts

-Whiteline Anti Lift Kit. One of my stock ones is starting to leak some grease.

-Defi 60 mm boost gauge. My prosports are complete garbage and highly inaccurate gonna pick up the egt and oil pressure at a later date.

-Got something else but that will be hush hush.

-Within the next few weeks will be dropping the bbs's off for powder coating

Finally painted and put on the RSTI badge

Up close

Installed my Whiteline ALK. I'd say it went smoothly but it didn't. As you can see in this picture there are two metal tubes. They are supposed to go into the bushing. Well lets just say no where in the instructions does it mention that at all. Not only that but since they appeared to be something extra I looked up DIY's under google and anything I found didn't say anything about them at all. So I put them in and tried to tq it to 140 lbs as per instructions....that wasn't good because it squished the bushing.

After a friend next to me at work looked at it he said they went inside which to me still made sense but even he double checked everything I read and no where did it say to press into bushing. So since I'm lucky and have access to a press at work I was able to get it in no problem. If I was doing this at home I'd be really pissed off because there is no way that thing was going in without a press. Looking back at google images and the images in the diy's clearly this sleeve came installed on everyones. Wondering if this is something new they are doing but they really need to update their instructions.

Then I came home and saw the rest of my goodies waiting.

Kartboy front solid endlinks, Rear subframe bolts, and urethane short hangers. My old short ones were 6+ years old and broke so the only spares I had were long ones that dropped the exhaust. I don't like the look of that.

OEM 22b vents. My replica's from HT Auto will be up for sale shortly.

And one quick random photo from inside the shop

Forgive me for my horrible memory. Which meets? I spun my 2.0l bearing back in 09' on thanksgiving eve. I see you had an rsx-s. Was it that light blue with rims on it?

Thanks for the compliments. It's no where near done. lol

Guess I could run an update post.

crawford aos

Also picked up an sti rear seat to match my fronts. At some point going to order some matching incerts for the rear and door cards. Kinda liven up the old interior.

Also going to be ordering most likely a gt spec equal lenth header. Still undecided if I feel like running the blitz with that as well. Might switch up the cat back.

Well ****ty for me basically my 3rd gear is about to give out. It's clunking horribly so I'm skipping it. Only had the brand new lgt gears in the for two years. I have fun with my car but can't say that I'm a transmission killer. I'm pretty nice to the thing and might rip on it here or there and that's about it. Was on my way home taking it easy and put it in third then all the clunking happened. So now I've decided between ppg and 6 speed. Gonna find me a 6 speed swap. There are far less horror stories about breaking 6 speeds compared to what I've seen with ppg's and they are about the same price. I just think the split case style of the 5 speed is no good for high tq applications.
