... I'm more tired of Craigslist and car forums, they just aren't what they use to be. Post something you have that's new, at 20% less then you paid, and people offer 50% of the price you have posted. Then get pissed off and have the nerve to rant that your price is too high. What happened to 3+ years ago when people actually paid realistic prices? If you don't see an 'obo'... don't make a damn offer. LOL

Also, been a bunch of break-ins locally here in Lewisberry PA area... unfortunately I live almost in the middle of all the places that have been robbed. ANYHOW, the 'KKK' visited a local community (1/2 mile away) and spread these out in everybodies yard/mailbox.

I'm really incredibly disappointed with the car "scene" and how it's evolved into doing things for as cheap as possible. I just spent a lot of money on a stroker crankshaft that I was told would work... nope. Now I have to sell that on (likely at a loss due to the ****tards you mentioned) and find a different one. I'm glad I'm not in a rush for this crap.

In my experience, the 75/50% concept has always been the rule of thumb for internet pricing of most of your common car parts with things like wheels and some other miscellaneous categories being obvious exceptions, so Yellow is about spot on.

You'll take a loss mostly because most people won't want to take a chance that you mishandled the crank in some way, but partially because strokers of any variety often cost a fair amount in machine work as well. Buying good parts cheaply is the name of the game for most of us. It just is what it is, man.

thats why i always hated selling cars/car parts on sites. you get low balled all the time and expected to pretty much give the stuff away.

In this case the stroker crank is simply a TDI crank, I just somehow ended up with one from one of the years that won't work for me. Should be easy to sell, but still at a bit of a loss... Pistons should be here soon, another crank should be on the way from Canada, and then the machine work can start.

Hahaha, car parts and trying to sell them. Some people think their **** is worth something. Get a ****ing life, it's used. I will go low to get the item out of the garage, but only so far. Hope everyone is doing well.

Car scene sucks. Everybody just says, lets throw a bunch of money into the car, make a stupid amount of power and not learn how to get it to the ground. High hp doesn't do jack **** to me, about 1/4 mile times to me. More impressive to see a car with less power do the same time as someone with high horsepower.

I go low also on used stuff, just get pissed at people offering $500 shipped for a turbo kit that cost $860 and would take 3 boxes to ship it all.

I put 70k into my 240sx, sold it for 9700$ to a drifter who made a 501whp car into a 350whp car tubbed the front and swapped out a bunch of parts to make it drift better and go slower.

My thought on the situation = *shrug*

That I could understand, when it's going to cost you probably $100 to just ship the stuff.

Found someone willing to trade crankshafts for the one I need... I get the feeling that most of these people I deal with are in high school or they're not native english speakers. I guess that's what I get for dealing with VW people.

I can't stand when people post things on Craigslist as 'New' when they clearly aren't 'New'... Cough cough. Maybe its got nothing to do with the actual sites, and more to do with the retard seller's impression of what the word new actually means.
