Sean, you don't HAVE to solder wires for the headunit, in all 3 of my past cars what I did was just tie them together well and then put a little cover on the connection and melt it, forget what it's called exactly but looks something like this



Provides better insulation than tape I think, and you don't need a soldering iron, you can just use a lighter to heat it up and seal it.

CleanNeon, thats heat wrap. When it comes to Stereos, nothing works better or gives a better conection/current flow then soldering. HeatWrap also into meant to hold things together, like twisted wires. Its meant to cover over metal connections. Like when you solder wires together..you use heat wrap to cover the solder.

Sean3...if you really need some help LMK man. I'll do it for you
