Dude, the whole Staggered wheel tire hurting handling thing is kind of stupid to say. If it were so harmful to handling then why would so many OEM's release cars with staggered setups?

1. It's safer
2. They probably aren't as front grip challenged as the Fox chassis.

Fox chassis cars basically handle like dog **** until you change to a completely redesigned rear setup (TA/PHB, 3 link, or Steeda 5 link) and a tubular front setup with modified geometry. They're pretty damn good at that point but it's worlds easier/cheaper/faster to just buy a used Z06.

The "unrelated" car looks pretty sick aside from the disgusting wheels/stretched tires. Any more pics of it?
The CCW's came with the tires off a friend for $2K couldnt beat the price and the wheels are fuggin awesome. They are 11" wide in the rears on a 305/35/18 Mickey Thompson ET Street II's. Never had a DR on a car previously and must admit I do like the straight line traction. But not my cup of tea. I will be ordering new outers to drop these down to a 10.5' for a better fitment. Then a tire switch will follow likely RT-615K's maybe a Hoosier I dont know yet. I still have my Nitto Invo's on Simmons FR18 3pc wheels.

The staggered fitment works and has worked on many great handling cars for many years. Its all a matter of choosing the right tire and suspension parts. I ran staggered setups and same size on my Fox cars and found they were equally fast just required a slight change in driving style. I could late apex better with the same size setup vs more a slow in very fast out style when staggered. Fun in any case just a matter of how...

The C5 Zed6 cars run very high teens for a high mile example(always looking for a good used one) and into the low twenties for a clean one. I'll take a Fox Body Notch with a Maximum Motorsports Road & Track box, a simple all motor 306 with aluminum heads and a 5lug conversion vs the Zed6 all day long. That Fox will weigh less at around 2900lbs, make more tq and have comparable crank HP. Plus it wont cost nearly as much. Well under 15K complete closer to $12K from my past experience. Plus for the FRC or Z06 you will need Coilovers or at the very least Pfadt shocks and to lower the car on the stock bolts. That's big money, then a wheel/tire combo like my CCW's again big money and then brakes since those brakes are the same ones on a stock Cobra. Again big money... So for me to build a high mile car and get good used parts to upgrade with will put me in the mid 20K range.

Dont get me wrong I will sell my GTS for a 99 FRC at the drop of a hat should the right one come along. Then again I've owned over 70 cars in the last 23 yrs of my driving. I don't seem to keep anything for very long. I love a fast car and I don't care much what it is.

I have a simple motto... I dont do pretty I do fast.

I suppose it could work, but I hate how much my car understeers with a square tire setup as is. You said C5 Zed and want a 99 FRC though, so you're awesome.

I've seen so many posts from people saying how they drove a C5Z with just brakes and that it was worlds better than their Fox chassis car with tons of money spent on suspension goodies that it's pretty disheartening I'd just run factory rear 18x10.5 all around on a Z/FRC, upgrade the brakes, and be happy (LOLJK, never going to be happy). Plus I'm a shallow douche that would much rather be seen in/driving a 2001 Corvette than a 1991 Mustang. On the other hand, cost of ownership for a Z06 is higher. Better get the lube ready if you plan on paying someone to do a clutch on one of those things. But I digress. Basically all I do at school is look at Corvettes now, FML.

And yeah my parents spelled my name correctly

What are your suspension mods currently?

If you have not done so they following mods will go a long way.

1. Tokico D Specs, bang for the buck its an excellent shock. When these Koni's go these will follow.

2. H&R Sport springs best spring on the market for this and many cars. Or KW Coilovers (the sleeper many in the community never use)

3. Full Length sub-frame connectors from MM along with their front lca's and rear uca/lca combo. Lastly add in thier CC Plates.

That thing will be far more neutral in the turns and way more predictable. Plus you can use the D Specs to tune out a decent amount of understeer with damping.

Yo, SledgeHammer.

Do me a solid.

Reply to multiple users using a single post. No need to triple post on the reg.

Anyway, any of you dudes know what kind of vehicle this is? I've never seen such a well shaped chassis, ever.

Bilstein HD struts/shocks

MM PHB
Steeda front sway bar

Have 325lb MM front coilovers, just need to order replacement threaded sleeves. Also have MM alu rack bushings and poly A arm bushings that I'm too lazy to install. Next up is a MM TA and the stiffer factory location TA springs they sell. I think I'll be somewhat satisfied after I get all that on...

whoever designed that car fro deserves every penny he made. I wish more passion went into the design of cars then some i have seen recently. IMO each new car over the past few years has the x car had sex with y car while fooling around with another thing going on.

I've got the Kenny Brown PB in my car that the original owner had installed. The grip is sick, playing with the front spring rates should be a big help to ya.You have some of the best stuff on the market, fine tuning will go a long way.

Lovin the rims look like Volk's... Never a fan of the factory spoiler, I like the TRD version better. The rest of it is interesting, IMO those rims, no rear spoiler or body kit is a tough looking ride.

Yeah, I'm still stumped as to what it is.

Usually exotics don't tickle my fancy, but something about this one is awesome.

i would say the same, especially since i have this utterly biased euro car hate, but i do get up for koenigsegg especially the tiverta (1000+ hp on e85 only 3 made) and the new Agera R (1115hp twin turbo v8 lol) their older models were twin supercharged v8s.
